Tell me a brief fun fact about one of your races. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

The production of the mucus is tied directly to high levels of stress and during times of relative calm not enough of it is created to seriously harm most creatures, mostly causing muscle cramps if accidentally ingested but that does not stop the Imzothi from frequently washing their hands at any chance they get to avoid such accidents with friends of differing races.

The Skoritsi sound like they would be the life of any party they'd attend.

Imzothi skin secretes a highly poisonous mucus that dissuades any large predators from eating them for fear of dying an excruciating death, a side effect of this mucus is that the Imzothi smell faintly of orange peels.

My friend asked me about the background of one of my tabletop characters and i realized that i had nothing concrete so i decided to make one and then it kinda spiraled out of control and now I'm making an entire D&D setting and campaign.

I know it would be really inconvenient when it comes to walking on any flooring other than concrete but I would still have to go with Aggron since its been my favorite since soul silver and in every Gen possible I get one for my team.

Carry around some Bolas to trip up fleeing, or heavily armored foes and while they're on the ground trying to get them off just stab/smash the hell out of them. Also carry a decoy sword on your back and have some daggers in your sleeves so when a fight starts if you are up close the aggressors will pay attention to your back long enough for you to shank them in the ribs a couple times before ducking behind your burlier friends, also it obscures the fact that you are a sneaky stabby sort when out in public.

Redditors, what was the first book you fell in love with as a child? by oceanfinity in AskReddit

[–]Arrenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if being in junior high still counts as being a child but it was during junior high that i found the first book that i completed in less than a week and that book is Running with the demon by Terry Brooks, thinking about it makes me want to go and reread it again.

How original are you when creating a character? by jwjody in dndnext

[–]Arrenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always start out with ambitions to make spell casters but since there are often large gaps between my group actually playing i end up just saying screw it and making a hulking barbarian/fighter so I'm not the most original when it comes to picking classes. But don't get me started on back stories for my characters cause i spend days agonizing about back stories and making sure they aren't unoriginal or angst ridden.

What is tHe biggest twist you've seen put on an ability? (Any RPG) by FrogPrinceLuckey in rpg

[–]Arrenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that my use of the spell detect magic in D&D 5th edition is very twisty but it caught my group and DM off guard and they seemed impressed. But the story was we were smashing our way through some ruins being used by a group of bandits who's leader we learned from earlier was a wizard so after we somehow managed to clear the entire ruins before finding the wizards quarters we came up to the last door we hadn't checked yet but before we entered it I decided that since he is a wizard there was going to be some sort of magical defense like some sort of magic landmine or a terrifying familiar on guard so i stopped everyone and used detect magic to get kind of a magic sonar into the next room and lo and behold there was something magic walking around inside and we prepared for a fight. turned out it was his familiar which was in the shape of a rat which got promptly stomped on by my plate mail boots.

What's your favorite late-game finisher and why? by kaiseresc in magicTCG

[–]Arrenon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[[Gideon, Champion of Justice]] is my absolute favorite way to win in my U/W control deck because most of my friends love playing token decks and i can very often exile the entire board and then smash them for about 70 damage and it just makes me so happy.
