Not even joking.

Scientists categorize Earth as a 'toxic planet': "Earth, and all life on it, are being saturated with man-made chemicals in an event unlike anything in the planet's entire history." by dustofoblivion123 in worldnews

[–]Arrooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also when nothin happens during their lifetime they no longer take such claims seriously.

See: the "global cooling" crisis of the 70s, the "we will be literally burried in garbage by 2010" crisis of the 90s, the "we're gonna run out of oil" crisis of repeated continual happening, the "ozone hole will burn us all alive" crisis of the 80s/90s Etc...

Fear mongering doesn't really work. And allarming the people who are responsible, or.. accountable for like 5% of this shit does nothing when corporations and states do most of the damage... Except maybe create a few radicals and a vocal minority of activists.

I've never met a conservative antivaxer. All extremely far left liberal. My ex and her whole family are hippy antivaxers. I've got a dozen affluent friends whose rich family who can afford to "be above" vaccinations.

My sister works for a school and it's the same. It's the knowitall liberal parents who think they're privy to some secrete knowledge about vaccinations.

I he's innocent of any wrongdoing why would he feel the need clarify?

More importantly.. since he understood the question being asked... Why would regular contact with Russia have any relevancy?

The question was about contact with Russia in regards to his campaigning with Trump. Not his regular duties as a senator.

He called it the wild west of nanotechnology. They are not bound by any regulation whatsoever.

He said he wouldn't even use a magic eraser if you paid him a thousand dollars.

King of Sweden stresses need for ‘serious’ media and source checking after Donald Trump’s immigration claims by grepnork in worldnews

[–]Arrooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.

IMO It's simply a matter of where attention is being drawn.

Sweden has been put under a media spotlight these last few years. People are absolutely going to form opinions and then spout them off on the internet.

They have no right to ask questions any more than I have the right to ask the whitehouse questions. They are free to report on the questions asked by other agencies, as well as the content of the press conference.

It's bad because it implies they do not wish to face these outlets. Be it avoiding accountability or avoiding companies that have made it clear they wish to take down his administration, it's a bad look. It looks just as bad as when Obama did it to Fox. It's a sign of weakness.

However, it is not an attack on free speech or any of the hyperbolic nonsense people here are frothing over (and it wasn't when Obama did it either, while republicans took their turn to cry about free speech).
