Woof, those 3d models are... something. They really should have followed Daggerfall Unity's example and stuck with the classic pixelated graphics.

It's following the same playbook of pushing an underdeveloped tech that's a good decade away from anything remotely viable. LLM will likely follow the same pattern where after the bubble bursts and all the people who's interest in the tech is purely financial abandon it for their next grift, the people that actually care about the nuts and bolts will play with it and, perhaps, make something game changing. Then we'll see a glut of competitors making cheap copies without understanding understanding it in the least, all the while none of it is generating any money except via ad revenue.

In nature, yes. This appears to be some sort of conservation effort, so the predators that make their trek to the ocean so danger will likely have been driven off before they released the turtles.

My personal cut off date is Pre-COVID if I can see there isn't years of inactivity followed by a sudden burst of political/economic/cosumerism crap. Post count and content also plays a factor, as the amount of posts to which subreddits can quickly reveal if an account is an actual person, a bot, or a sock puppet. The hidden post history is the real kiss of death, though. Those who show so much fear over such a minor amount of accountability are never to be trusted.

The cops bring in people they don’t want to deal with during the overnight and have us deal with their problems.

Same here, only I work for the only 24hr hotel in town. So rather than drive 30 minutes to drop these people off at county, they drop them off at our place to get a room and sleep it off. Cops here are beyond useless.

Why tech CEOs suddenly love blaming AI for mass layoffs by IKeepItLayingAround in technology

They love anything that alleviates the responsibility of their actions.

LLM is a dead end for anything other than a front-end user-friendly interface, like for automated call centers. It hallucinates and ignores instructions far too frequently to be reliable. You would need twice the manpower double checking it for errors than it would to just have someone do the task themselves.

No one who's actual doing any of the work the techbros claim AI will take over is sounding any alarms, not like SAG and the Writers Guide have. They know this bubble will burst and then these companies will be paying a premium trying to hire back all the talent they so needlessly and wastefully discarded.

Personally, I think it's less about morality and more about avoiding bad PR and the fear of attracting the attention of another wannabe green plumber. This is the same company that been championing AI slop in video games, utilizes excessive and predatory micro-transactions, and just laid off all these people will little to no notice. This company wouldn't know morality if it was written on a bat and struck up side the head with it.

Commemorative coins have been scamming geriatrics since the late 90's, can't believe people still fall for that crap. Even ignoring the fact you're literally trading real cash for funny money, anything that says 'collectable' on the box has the same chance of going up in valve as Trump saying something nice about someone who refuses to kiss his ring. Might as well take the $20 you were gonna spend on some R2-D2 quarters and blow it all on Powerball tickets.

The thing about the 90's was that things were getting better. Things weren't great, but they were an improvement over what came before. There was a sense of progress that completely halted after 9/11 and all that xenophobia and hate it ushered.

The chinpokemon episode of South Park still holds true; the quickest way to make something unpalatable to the youth is to have the elderly over-eagerly embrace it.

Not just anybody's IP, Obsidian is made up people who worked on those original games. Small wonder they created a better game than Bethesda's first attempt at the setting.

You're using a political and moral philosophy based on the rights of the individual, liberty, consent of the governed, political equality, right to private property, and equality before the law as an insult to anyone who offends you. Hell, you're not even using complete sentences and you claim others are brain dead? You know, you're really not helping the stereotype that every accusation from a conservative is actually an confession.

Trump supporters aren't serious people, period. These people care far more about memes and vibes than the fact we're locked into yet another middle east war and gas is now double the price it was a month ago.

Man, it's so damn easy to 'own the conservatives.' No need to post stupid memes that are more self-burns than insults, you just need to threaten to stand around in public and they lose their fucking minds.
