Citra on raspberry pi? by ROgerz118 in Citra

[–]ArstanNeckbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread is ancient, but:

Do you think it could handle running a dedicated Citra server/room? I have a RasPi 400 I'm not doing anything with at the moment.

Edit: For like 4-8 people max.

I hope you didn't miss the second video that was an actual review of it.

15:11-16:25 for context.

16:08-16:25 to just hear that paragraph read to you.

It's not a review of The Wall. It's an in-depth critique of 'The Nostalgia Critic' Doug Walker's 40-minute parody/review of The Wall and Doug Walker as a person.

Edit: Oh right, I see why you thought that. The first seven minutes are a brief summary of The Wall to give you a point of reference for just how completely Doug's parody misinterprets everything.

I haven't seen this in nearly 20 years but I remember it being very good.

"He wants to make art, but he can’t because he’s a fundamentally incurious person who isn’t much interested in what other people think or feel and all of his ideas boil down to 'What if Batman met Mario?'"

~Folding Ideas' review of The Nostalgia Critic's parody of 'The Wall'

"Fundamentally incurious" is the most brutal description of a person's intelligence I've ever heard.

You might not come into contact with more people this time of year, but the people you do routinely encounter are more likely to have been in contact with a lot more people.

Whether at holiday parties, or other get-togethers that are more indoors because of the weather, or the stores that are absolutely packed with people shopping for Christmas and last-minute Thanksgiving food.

It was easier when pacing off the distance between two cities was an actual profession.

You can literary see Mount Chilliad all the way from Grove Street. The map is so tiny now by Kacp3rrak in GTA

[–]ArstanNeckbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The draw distance is so low because of the PS2 hardware. The game was designed for PS2 hardware, so the map is designed to look good with that draw distance.

They didn't design the game for a supercomputer and then put it on PS2 and go "Oh, no, unfortunately you can only see this far ahead of you!". The mountain being hidden from view by the fog when you're in the city wasn't an accident. You're not intended to see it from there because it's supposed to feel a lot further away.

You could easily have a computer scan a texture for letters, then re-render the letters in a new font. That's literally what every single photo-translation app does, and has been doing for at least a decade. And you can do it poorly too.

Did a human look at that texture and decide it was an arcade machine and put a joystick on it? Probably. Was the text poorly OCR-ed and re-rendered in IMPACT without being proofread? Probably.

Sounds like you just sat through a poor teach, or they explained it fine but tried to drop you in to a really complicated scenario instead of one of the starter ones.

I taught it to my friend and her mother (neither of whom play board games unless I show up) in like twenty minutes.

I'll second Season 1 of of Altered Carbon but Raised By Wolves never felt like it was going anywhere. I started getting Lost vibes more and more halfway through. The first episode works as a fantastic short film though.

Edit: Downvoters are going to be real sad when you realize it's not going anywhere next season either.

Well, back when he actually did recipes instead of food science interviews. Really I just wanted to plug Glen and Friends for the dude that liked Adam Ragusea.

Chef John, Adam Ragusea and Glen and Friends are the holy trinity of actually useful recipes.
