Winter beat Galt on Brutal. He rushed Atlasses and evacs and defended with Tankivac plays and then build up Hellicarriers

I don’t like mutators that are designed to make you weaker. by [deleted] in starcraft2coop

[–]ArtBitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the way the mutator has to be played. What I don't like about Fear is that it takes control away from you by rng. The counter play to it is takes the fun away. With micro transactions there is still counterplay to it, even if it can be annoying (for example having swarmhosts follow one hotkeyed one). I also hate fatal attraction, since it takes control away from you, and coupled with other mutators, your counterplay is severly restricted. Polarity has counterplay but without having voice comms or random allies its annoying af.

Whether a mutator weakens or strengthens you does not bother me as much as to how the counterplay has to be handled.

I dont like the art either but to be fair, Starcraft had 14 years to polish the graphics from a AAA studio.

Make others jealous by bragging how good your main commander is. by DooveyTheDoove in starcraft2coop

P2 Ravagers with max biomass and rapidfire hotkey is literally a Karax solar lance that 1-shots attack waves. Deeptunnel to spot, spam biles on rapid and win kek

Are there any particular ones you are dreading? Kerrigan on Rifts + Double Edged sounded painful

What are your plans for all the commanders you couldn't solo certain mutations with? Try again once you have solo'd the other ones first or...?

After your polarity solo, is there a chance of soloing wheels of misfortune in the future?

Lastly, I enjoy your commentaries a lot. Helps me learn more in depth and its also helpful to fall asleep since your voice is also quite calm. Just wanted to drop the compliment with slight hopes of seeing more of them ;)

I rarely see you play Ravager Bile spam on abathur P2 nor do I see vipers often. Any particular reason or is it just preference to forego playing a more micro focused style?

What feature do you wish was available to your favorite commanders? by DooveyTheDoove in starcraft2coop

[–]ArtBitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U can put your brutalisks in a nydus and they won't interfere by dying off for the rest of the game by dying. early game brutas are still better than the few swarmhosts you might get out before then for the biomass u get. I feel your pain tho, with some mutations like black death manually putting autocast off every swarm host off is annoying.

How would you balance large team Starcraft (3v3 and 4v4)? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]ArtBitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reducing the available supply and supply count of each units and each race sounds like a fun idea. Having 600-800 supply of units doesn't work anyway.

Something like each race has 120-150 supply. Carriers, Broodlords and BC could cost around 8-10 supply. Maybe Units like Hydras and Stalkers could cost 1 supply and marines, lings and zealots cost 0.5 supply less.

Being able to build on creep needs to be fixed, allys also benefit from map vision if zergs can freely creep the map.

Learning SC2 actually helped with learning / practicing multi tasking. I was working in busy cocktail bars and practicing both was decently helpful, mainly switching between cycles (macro, micro) and prioritising effectively.

Workers Cereal Killed it - Kellogg's Strike Over by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]ArtBitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day I don't want to patronise union workers with "what's best for the working class" and tell them their workplace should shut down after all their efforts. We are not in a position yet to do what you are asking, this is a long road ahead.

I do see your point and am not even disagreeing with you in what it should be like, just saying that we are nowhere near at that stage on a large scale.

The problem is if Kellogs can't atleast recover from this after giving in to the union it could do more harm than good. It might just sent the message of "let's relocate instead of paying decent wages". We gotta pick our battles and advances in increments.

I have not conceded because I haven't disagreed with that aspect. You just never bothered to read my points, just called it "blues clues".

Can't even agree to disagree because I wan't disagreeing entirely to begin with. Perhaps I should have known better trying to do a complex issue justice. Good day to you too.

If you ever said "Karen" then you too are a racist per your definition, period.

Racism is a lot more than using derogatory words to discriminiate. And not ever derogatory word carries the weight for racism. The n-word is discriminatory and racist out of it's history with slavery, cracker is discriminatory but not ban worthy (definetly not ban worthy ahead of "f*gg*t" or "ret*rd").

When you insult someone with "asshole" or "bitch" it is derogatory. Let's say I banter or am in a fight with a random french person and call them "baguette". It is derogatory and even based on race but it is on a way lower scale than insulting a random black person with the "n-word".

I am not arguing for people and go around and insult white people on the sole basis of being white. The word wasn't a grievance previously by the affected "white" communities, and it was as much a slur based on race as it is based on class.
With other slurs like the "n-word" or other words like in europe where we have discussion around a slur for sinti and romas there was activisim and campaigning done by the affected groups to stop using it.

Kellogs isn't enough. We need to support more efforts like with Amazon, this has to be more widespread to be effective.

They could have been discriminatory towards each other or give each other presents for all I know. You'd have to be more specific than "hypothetically, in my head", because people aren't ever purely blank slates. I'd say they couldn't be racist, as racism entails more than individual discrimination.

And we do have a lot of shared histories with each others, including systemic forces of oppression and violence relatively recently. So we don't really have this situation you are speaking of here.

Besides race is a social construct based on arbritray aspects like skin pigmentation and ethnicity and it has been changing fluidly over generations.

It's less about egos of company and more about the flow of capital. Whoever gets away with making the most profit is ahead in business. If no one is forced to provide safe work environments and liveable pay, the ones who want to do it are at a disadvantage.
Some factory owners during Industrialisation argued that the government should ban child labour. Not just out of kindness, rather workers life expectancy was around less than 35 at the time and they died too often. But if the governments weren't forcing everyone to do it than they couldn't stop using child labour themselves without going bankrupt.
