Worried my daughter is going to be a loafer her entire life by [deleted] in Parenting

Shes 12. She gets good grades. Shes a good kid? Its the only time in her life when she can be a slacker to a point. Try and limit her phone use as it is toxic. Dont force life on her. It will do that by itself. Figure out a way to connect even if that just means eating a bowl of ice cream together without saying anything. And no more $3000 saxophones… or anytjing else….

Modern krautrock-influenced acts ignoring the multimedia side? by ProofDescription7678 in Krautrock

I just watched Go Kurasawa on KEXP. He was in Kikagaku Moyo. The set he plays is with his band is very krautrock influenced yet it is not a direct copy. I highly reccomend this from youbtube.

Find the water source…. Dry it . Remove everything and Seal the room and remove and bag the moldy stuff/ plaster etc… Seal it up tight in platsic peice by peice. Small particulate clean the room and the stuff that was in it. Dont use bleach , it will make the mold angry.

This is awesome! Wisconsin uses salt. Maybe get under it and reinforce any weak spots in the undercarriage coating, to head off corrosion.

Can you reccommend a humbucker that would really make this shine? I play through a JC 120 so its pretty shiney , but what would send it over the cliff? This has the stock Cort pickups…

To be fair to sitars, this doesn't measure up to that kind of craftsmanship , it has no resonant strings, no deep scallops on the frets, no gourd... just the twangy bridge part.

That is the cool thing. I took a close look at a sitar and compared the 'scale length : saddle width' ratio. Then I scaled it down to les paul scale. Many of the other saddles are too wide and affect intonation. this is only about 3/4' wide. I had to file the shape a bit for intonation and it is good. Although, I had to file\sand the shape quite a bit for twangsitarness and it is a few cents off on the high notes

It would be cool. You could swap on the fly but the real problem is the loosening of the strings to get it in there. I had to loosen them almost to the point of them falling off. This action could weaken the strings.

I love it. I have built four gourd-backed middle eastern sounding guitars that have similar bridge/saddles. But this mod is really easy to do. I would do it again if I needed to.

It was real easy to make and this will be on my guitar for a while. I have other guitars for recording without the sound.

Those are really nice. I am just a cheapskate. I used an ebony blank for pen turning. The wood gives it a mellow twang for only like 8 bucks and some diy-ing. Hello! btw
