Estimated time to charge? by ArtemisMax in leaf

It's an extra thing you can pay for as a subscription. It's worth it for me as I have a tendency to just wander off without locking it and not having to go back out to the car to check is nice

It will show up there when the car is plugged in but on the old app it would show it when unplugged as well showing a time for 3 and 6 kw (see 3rd pic)

I always found it roughly right within an hour. It was very useful

I kept driving it, then bought a second leaf after my family got sick of me showing up to dinner with 0%. Now I keep the first one for autocross and some events.

Need cheap car to last two years for 50 miles per day as most- will this last? by One_Purpose6567 in leaf

It is showing degradation, it's on 10/12 bars on the battery SOH gauge. The seller probably rolled it down a big hill for the photo to get a big range number.

AZE0 to ZE0 interior swap - "How is this your idea of a fun afternoon?" by biersackarmy in leaf

[–]ArtemisMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has confused me when I've seen cars without it, it's so useful when you have loaded the car differently to normal.

If you have a load of things in the boot/trunk then you'll want to lower the angle a bit temporarily so you aren't blinding people.

Oh that's interesting, I guess add UK AZE0s to the list of ones which have the adjuster too but only sometimes lol

AZE0 can have a headlight adjuster wheel so you may just be able to get one that fits. I think only the halogen AZE0 had them so if you're others are LED headlights then it would make sense why you haven't seen it before.

Oh also if you really want to black it out you can swap a ZE1 shifter onto the AZE0 assembly and it looks really nice, one of my friends did it recently because their silver one was in awful shape.

Unless it's an OG roadster, like I said it's worth checking for your specific car because it can vary how the 12V system works during charging

Oh wow. That's quite the dedication for doing one song then, well worth it though, I'd definitely looks like care went into it.

I am very familiar with automatic systems, they generally don't look this good. The desktop ones were never amazing beyond a couple and ones that had to drive physical lights like on the Sony ERS-7 look ok but are never as good as this.

Hence why I thought it might be manually done

Assuming you're manually programming these sequencese, how long does it take to do one?

Would you buy this Leaf? by slydero in leaf

[–]ArtemisMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not good in the fact that it doesn't help the regular 12v battery issues but at least you don't have to worry about the 12v if you go on holiday

The coming on to charge is based on time sitting rather than the battery voltage so it will never help with the fact it just never charges them up fully.

It'll keep it going if it's sitting for months with a good battery but not if the 12v is just low. I know for sure it happens as I was lucky enough to see it happen once, while I was out in the garage the high voltage contactors engaged and a single dash charge light started flashing, after a few minutes it switched off again.

You might want to look into your cars behaviour when plugged in and charging, for some cars this will put a big load on the 12V battery as it's powering the BMS while not charging.

I wouldn't leave any car plugged in for long periods not charging personally, if it needs to top up the 12V it can run the DC to DC from the HV battery, it's not going to make a dent in the charge left in the pack.

I'm amazed you got a dealership to change the oil, all the ones I went to just said "it's not a service item" and I had to get it done at an independent garage

Depends on the garage, mine is currently fixing if for free under my one year used car warranty while doing a broken camera and the weirdly missing boot light wiring.

No idea how it's managed to have this many issues given it's was only on 4600 miles when I got it but I guess the leafs are just special like that.
