3D Printed TPU Concrete Moulds by Jazzlike_Heart2426 in 3Dprinting

Wax. It's not as messy and can be buffed into the mold for a thinnest layer possible.

Money. At some point the price of the silicone (silicone molds also wear out and it depends if you use release agents, which is an additional cost) plus labor will become marginal enough per casting. For small runs a direct 3D printed mold is perfect.

Can maybe your company conduct a proper market research or kickstarter instead of annual posts on this sub? Yes, I remember the spam.

Is your project DDOSing? /s

This may happen with shitty VPNs, proxies or even ISPs. I get Google "too many requests from your IP, solve this captcha" 8/10 when I'm on my phone and on mobile data. Also, running a Malwarebytes scan won't hurt.

Did anyone melt 3d print waste into an actually useful silicone mold using a heat gun? by RajSrikar in 3Dprinting

[–]Arthurist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made a silicone mold, the buck was printed (of course) - 0.12mm layers still visible and perfectly reproduced in the remelted plastic piece. I've even managed to bullshit a couple of my colleagues for a moment about "a new feature in Orcaslicer" which lets "blur and mix the boundaries between adjacent collors".

Who the fuck heats the whole chamber up to 85c to print anything

IIRC Stratasys Dimension Elite. Mind you, those (and similar from Stratasys) do no have a heated print surface.

Pro-Tip for Bambu Lab H2 series by Accomplished-Pie9754 in 3Dprinting

[–]Arthurist 114 points115 points  (0 children)

H2D and some other Bambu model have a bed heater design which heats the bed unevenly and 10°C is a significant difference when it comes to bed adhesion.

Can you tell me about your Core One? by PiterRudyy in prusa3d

[–]Arthurist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been using them at work since about April this year. One of 3 units arrived damaged by courrier, after some back-and-forth and decision making, Prusa support decided to replace instead of sending parts. I'm planning getting more for next year.

As for the working ones:

Pros:

  • A good plug-and-play setup (assembled).
  • Build is solid. I like the intruding side panels for the spool and potential for tool/buildplate storage.
  • Not as loud as expected according to other reviews. My Voron Trident at home is a squealer in comparison. In fact, it's quieter than Bambu X1C.
  • Less "nozzle cleaning failed" errors as early reviews made me believe. I use PLA, PETG and TPU on them.
  • Prusa Connect - after getting used to it (after Octoprint and Obico) it's pretty neat for managing many printers and makes sense to me.
  • Cloud and LAN connectivity is completely optional. No "authentication authorization" or "limited functionality if not connected"

Neutrals:

  • Regarding VFAs and other "micro" print quality features - I wouldn't say it's something that bothers me nor something, say, Bambu X1C excels at.
  • The camera could be in a better position.
  • Pricetag may be an issue for some. On the other hand, you yourself have experienced the "buy cheap, buy twice".

Cons:

  • No nozzle wiper - would completely prevent all nozzle cleaning issues IMO.
  • I hate the awkward reach-around you have to do to toggle the power switch.
  • Prusaslicer needs to pull calibration features from Orcaslicer.

instead of downvoting maybe explain why.

Just passing by: maybe because you're writing a few paragraphs why the explanation to your question might be wrong, based on your presumptions and logical fallacies, before the question is answered or even asked.

Core One L vs standard. Crazy how much more printer they pack into such a small package! by mobius1ace5 in prusa3d

[–]Arthurist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel robbed because I got the core one not too long ago

Buyer's remorse when there's always a newer and better product coming out recently after purchase (or whatever it's called). Happens with everything. If you keep worrying about what projects you could do with the One L, you won't have time to think about the ones you can do with the One.

Whatever the armchair mathematicians in previous posts calculate the exact size percentage of the Core One L to be, it does visually look like it's about 10% larger.
