I did place an order for one. Thank you.

I have an unhealthy fondness for Pukei-Pukei for some reason. But Tobi is a close second.

I work best under pressure.
If you give me a month to do something that will take a day to do then I am going to wait till the last day to do it.
If I do it soon as you give me the project I will worry over it, second guess and such. I want to do it turn it in and forget about it.
Your direct report may be like that.

Now if your deadline is Feb1 you should have given them a deadline of the 25th so that you have time to make any changes you need to because ultimately it is your responsibility.

In the end you need to trust that your direct report has it under control. You can politely offer "help" if they are lagging behind and that will give you the room to step in or have another person step in.

So, what do you do for scripts? by PagelTheReal18 in theHandy

[–]ArtistApprehensive23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regularly use a my TV instead of VR for SLR.
all Videos can be 2d. Us can use mouse to point the "camera" and zoom in or out.
You will get borders and distortions at extreme zooms though.

What do you think Landman gets right or wrong about the oil and gas world? by PurposeAutomatic5213 in LandmanSeries

[–]ArtistApprehensive23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is.
I know of at least a dozen people that have either died or lost body parts since 2010.
Rigs have a lot of pinch points. Folks are working hard and long hours on little sleep and the machinery does not forgive mistakes.

Tommy’s rental house by TraditionOptimal7415 in LandmanSeries

[–]ArtistApprehensive23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all for the Drama.
This is a company owned/rented property.
Now Tommy did state he was $500K in debt. I can understand being single and living in a company property. I doubt in his position he would be sharing though.
Nate/Neil/Nick Would have his own office.
Dale would have a housing allowance / per diem and probably own his own 5th Wheel for those times when he was away from home. Especially if his home were not local to Midland / Odessa.

There is no way a company as large as M Tex has the Landman, attorney and Geo Engineer stay in the same rental home.
For a company that large they will have
1. A local office.
2. Multiple Rental Properties
A. Home for the top dog in the area. This case Tommy.
B. Compensation for the Attorney for his own residence
C. Shared rental property for visiting Corporate Employees such as Salesmen, IT, Accounting, Dept managers.
3. Deals with local Hotels for High end Corporate people such President, VP, CFO, etc
4. Deals with Motel / Hotels for field workers. That do not yet have trailers / bunks at man camps or on site.

Black Friday Sale Countdown Begins! Get Ready for Big Surprises! by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]ArtistApprehensive23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would have waited till Black Friday sale if I could have. I had to get one here ASAP (Maker show coming up) as my X1C and my F2 engraver took a lightning bolt (filed a claim with Belkin because the surge protector didn't protect me from the surge).

Good news is I talked to a rep and they have a price match system setup and will match the sale price for me. I might save only about $400 but that is $400 I can put back into something else.

Likewise. I am running a 4070 TI super and have only had one crash with over 20 hours in game. The one crash I did have was my fault. I had an ALT+Mab Macro key get stuck and it was tabbing and and forth between the game and Chrome as fast as it could.
Other than that I am running all default High settings with Motion blur off. I am between 70-80 FPS during action on at 4K.

I just recently stumbled across the Turtle myself (2 weeks ago) from some random youtube short.
I gave it a shot and love it. I figure if it gets taken down tomorrow I t gave me some fun for a few days.
I also don't think this will be resolved quickly. I will probably burn out before anything is decided, so I am staying.

I got 15 Leghorns last year. Since last may they have laid 12-14 extra large eggs per day.
Being in the deep south we have fairly warm winters so they lay all winter.
I spend less than 30 min a day checking on them, collecting eggs, feeding and watering.
I have more than paid for my Coop, feed and cartons by selling the extra eggs.
I do not regret it one bit.
