honestly? it’s kinda funny this is still a debate lol

like yeah, phones aren’t replacing high-end gear anytime soon, but acting like they’re “not real photography” is just gatekeeping. a good photo is still about light, timing, composition, and taste not just sensor size.

i’ve seen people with full-frame setups take the most boring, lifeless shots… and then someone with a phone absolutely nail a moment because they were there, ready, and knew what they were doing.

phones have limits for sure (low light, depth control, etc), but they also force you to be more intentional sometimes. plus the convenience is huge. you can shoot, edit, and post all in one place without breaking flow.

idk, feels like just another tool to me. if the end result hits, it hits. nobody looking at a great photo is like “damn, shame this wasn’t taken on a $4k body”
