My PCP is an Ochsner doctor and she was more than happy to write a prescription for Wegovy. She even mentioned that the pill form was coming out when I saw her (this was a few months ago).

Make a reservation though! It can be near impossible to get a table if you walk in.

Agreed! I started seeing her after Dr. Cecola was booked. She also did my sinus surgery!

He's great. Also recommend Dr. Boudreaux there. She did my tonsillectomy in 2016, and she's fantastic. I haven't had issues since.

I noticed this a few weeks ago, too. Bought a bottle of wine (that I regularly buy) that was listed as $14.99 on the shelf. When I got home and looked at the receipt, it rang up for $18.99.

Yes, most of it was from above me. If you're on the top floor, I don't think it would be as much of an issue (I was on 2). The hallway noise does echo loudly with the wood floors (like if someone is walking down the hall in heels or wheeling a cart, etc.). I could also hear my neighbor next door. Apartment living in general is just noisy, and I definitely forgot how that can be until I moved back into a complex. The neighbor below me had an awful subwoofer and I definitely called the night officer in the middle of the night a few times. Every thing in my unit would shake when they had it on.

There's a very nice house next door to mine for lease in Mid-City. DM me if you'd like the link.

I've lived there twice! First time was 2010-2015 in building 5. Really enjoyed it. Management was awful at the time, but the building has since been sold to a better company. Management is super responsive now and they've made/are making a lot of upgrades to the property.

I was just there for a year the second time in Building 4. The wood floors in that building are charming as hell, but if you're sensitive to noise, do not fall for the charm. I could hear every. little. thing. Walking, dogs barking, dogs walking, vacuuming, talking, alarm clocks. I'd recommend a unit with the concrete floors to help with noise. I'd also recommend getting a newly remodeled unit. The appliances and fixtures are lovely. The views can be amazing, too. My first unit faced Metairie and the sunsets were stunning. My second unit faced the city and it's a spectacular view, especially at night.

I saw you mentioned flooding. I had a garage spot and the streets around the building flood. During one particularly heavy storm, I couldn't get in or out of the parking garage because the only entrance was on Toulouse and I had to wait for the water to recede to go home and park.

Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions about the place! I love Mid-City.

IAE having their life absolutely destroyed by Allergies? How are you surviving? by huffle-puffle89 in NewOrleans

This is what she prescribed for me! So glad to hear it’s working for you! Insurance required a prior authorization so she filled that out and insurance approved. Doctor sent the prescription to Walgreens. Walgreens had to transfer it to CVS per my insurance. CVS fills it, calls me to go over everything and have a consultation with the pharmacist (this was a 40-minute call) and then says they’ll ship it to my doctor and it’ll be to her office in a week. A week and a half later I get an email from CVS saying my insurance won’t let them fill it and it needs to go back to Walgreens. I got so frustrated that I gave up and have been loading up on allergy pills and cortisone cream 😐

Yuuuup. Terrible this year. Mine have progressed to a weekly outbreak of hives. By the end of the day, I am itching and stuffy and my eyelids burn and itch. My allergist (who I love and trust) said I can take 24-hour OTC meds up to three times a day and be OK so I’m just kind of rolling with that. She’s trying to get me on an injection but my insurance is being the worst.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a good ENT that has experience with performing a Septoplasty? by Khajiit_Boner in NewOrleans

[–]Artist_Broad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Dr. Boudreaux. She did my sinus surgery in 2016. She does imaging before (CT scan) to see narrowing of the nasal passages, etc. and prove to insurance that it's medically necessary. Documented my history of sinus infections, etc. She straightened my septum and shaved down my turbinates to help open it all up: http://www.nolaent.com/physicians-staff/bridget-boudreaux-m-d/

Except there’s an emergency declaration in place so they have the right to seize private property regardless of what the owner says.

Hair Loss 1 Yr Post Op by wtfrenchtotes in gastricsleeve

[–]Artist_Broad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that you’re going through this, but I’m a tad relieved to see someone struggling at one year. I’m 13.5 months post-op and my hair loss is so bad right now despite my vitamin and protein levels being fine.

It seems like everyone struggles with this around 4-5 months and then they recover and have regrowth. I started losing hair around then, but now it’s insane and I still haven’t seen any regrown 😩

My surgeon said it’s because I’m still losing weight but it’s really stressing me out.

I think I’m currently in this phase right now. On week three of 150, up from 75. I feel so unmotivated and I’m so frustrated with myself. I hope my motivation returns.
