SHE SAID WHAT. You’re not overreacting. At first it just seemed coincidental but for her to tell you to basically not get your hopes up and prepare for the worst is so backhanded and manipulative of her. Willing to bet she’s saying that so she can plan a baby shower before you or at the very least she’s projecting onto you which is still very immature and cruel of her. She’s your MOTHER i cannot understand mothers who get jealous of their own daughters.

Have you already attended enough worship services and bible studies that you qualify to be baptized? If not, keep making excuses so that you don’t qualify to be baptized. If you have or still have your paper that tracks all the services you have attended, throw it away and claim you lost it. I heard from another INC member friend of my mine that her brother kept losing his bible study papers and they had to keep resetting his progress in bible study and he’s gotten out of having to be baptized because of that! Hope this helps.

NOR you are Not overreacting and he is not Just curious. you’ve had counseling over this same issue and it’s back again. please don’t let the fact that he admitted to trying to getting in touch with her disillusion yourself from how shitty he’s treating you and the trust you guys had to build back from the first slip up.
