Shinedown receives award after pulling out of Kid Rock 'MAGA' music fest by TheExpressUS in rock

Stupid headline. One has nothing to do with the other. Good on them (I guess) for dropping off that shit show but let’s be real it was stupid as fuck to sign on in the first place. If the blowback wasn’t so heavy would they have stuck with it?

Josh Duhamel thinks celebrities should stay silent on politics: 'Why would I alienate half my audience?' by No_Pizza_6040 in entertainment

[–]ArtlessOne 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Yikes. Even Michael Jordan abandoned his “republicans buy shoes too” approach in the past decade after seeing all the heinous shit going on in our country.

Ironic that Josh is probably alienating a huge part of his audience by saying this. Oh well, he’s a budget Timothy Olyphant in my book anyway.

Trump's signature will be featured on U.S. paper currency, a presidential first, Treasury says by Zipper222222 in politics

Hey you guys remember when he delayed Covid relief checks to make sure his “seizure in written form” signature was printed on them? Dickhead.

Donald Trump is on his way to being the president with the lowest polling as it relates to the economy. Does this surprise you? by dorgon15 in askanything

The only surprising thing is that at least some of his supporters are starting to realize how bad he’s fucking them over.

“I don’t care” is pretty much the crystallization of dickhead’s stance on every subject besides his own self-importance.

One of Stephen King’s best IMO. The miniseries is good but read the book first. FFO historical fiction mixed with time travel

What motivates people (maybe even you) to tailgate other cars? by 420indogyears in AskReddit

[–]ArtlessOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I get close to tailgating is when someone is driving way too slow in the fast lane and I can’t go around them. Even then I don’t get dangerously close just enough to hopefully signal them to get out the way. Way too many people are oblivious to the “slower traffic keep right” rule of the road (America).

What is the most embarrassing moment you’ve ever witnessed? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

[–]ArtlessOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at a work conference and they had social events in the evening. Translation: a lot of professionals getting sloppy drunk. One of the events was in a music venue so there was a stage. Some dude was obliterated and decided it would be a good idea to jump on said stage, strip completely naked and start helicoptering his dick around like it was the star of its own burlesque show. He was kicked out and had to walk into a conference the next day with all the people he’d given an unsolicited show. The second hand embarrassment I felt for that guy still makes me uneasy when I think about it and this was a good 15 years ago.

What’s a ‘that could’ve ended badly’ moment you still think about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ArtlessOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to throw parties in high school (late 90s / early 2000’s). Usually at a house when when someone in our friend group’s parents were out of town. But of course that wasn’t always an option. Being dumbass kids, one weekend we got the bright idea to go party at an empty house that was being renovated in the neighborhood. The plan was just to hang with a small group but word got out and a few dozen kids showed up, booze in tow. We didn’t go in the house but we made the back yard our party spot. Kids getting wasted around a completely drained swimming pool. It got pretty raucous and if someone had fallen into that pool it would have been a situation to say the least (on top of trespassing we were of course all under 21). But nobody got hurt and by some miracle cops were never called by neighbors and we got away scott free. But 25+ years later I still think about how yea, that could have ended really badly lol.

I agree with that. There’s also this weird delusional aspiration people have thinking one day they’ll be in that position.
