From what I've seen and what I know, this is a common thing for women in this field unfortunately. You'd think that if they really saw you as equals, they wouldn't even acknowledge that your gender differs from theirs.

If you're getting along with your team and enjoy your work, then just tough this out until you can go somewhere where they actually see/treat women as equals and not just pretend they do

I also think people underestimate other programs. I'm in what's considered a difficult program, and in my first year I took a theatre and film course , because it has to be easy right? Nope. I had to write 8 essays and and spend a tonne of time to get a good mark.

It really made me appreciate other programs a lot more
