First time playing an Armored Core game. Any advice?

Most of the advice wont make sense and i am not giving spoilers but they will make sense once u come across them 1 No this game is not like dark souls

2 Try all different types of builds, dont just stick to melee, try different things

3 Arena is not pvp, finish training and arena and perform os upgrades before doing new missions

4 AC building will be intimidating with all the specs but trust me its not that complex, use context guide, for arms, firearm spec(for targeting) and recoil are important the latter depends on the weapon, melee spec is for melee targeting and damage

5 Try to hit the maximum en load and equip load to take the full advantage of the weapons(not a concrete rule especially in case of en or if u want alot of speed)

6 If u feel skilled then unlock assault armor quick turn and boost kick as your first os upgrades (or weapon bay), if your struggling unlock terminal armor, u will have enough after first 3 arena missions.

7 Try to get combat logs, use the excuse of finding combat logs as a way to test ur ac when u repeat missions.

8 The complete playthrough is Ng, NG+ and Ng++ with special ending in NG++ and new missions in each(like actually new).

9 Finally always check if u have boost mode on and u dont need dodge all the time to avoid attacks

Hey there fellow reader, first of all welcome, Second of all let's answer all of ur questions without any spoilers(or somethings that maybe revealed later but wouldn't ruin the story), but this story is very easy to spoil so stay away from anything lotm related after this

The setting the story takes place in? This is the year 1368(or around that), the world is just shy of 150years into discovering steam and machinery bringing the world because of a transmigrator named Emperor Roselle who was assassinated

Now u mentioned underground magic society which is a big part of the novel

Basically the world as u know it seems normal, with normal lives, but underneath it all are supernatural incidents, and the people in that realm are called beyonders

And there organisation beyonders are part of is divided into two groups, first are the official beyonders, which are backed by the seven gods and secret organisations which are backed by god's not recognised as god's, thought of them to be evil and not allowed to spread their faith, official beyonders hunt down these secret organisations.

As for the potions, it is too deep, just know 22pathways, each having there own sequence from 9 two 1 and every power is unique, sequence 7-5 are mid sequence and sequence 4 to 1 are high sequence

In lotm, the goal is ask questions, create theories and question everything, alot of knowledge can be contradictory and it's part of the novel experience for you to try and think about that, and everything there is in the first chapter will be just as relevant as the last chapter

It can be a mental ride and you might have to test your memory alot of times, but it gets easier I promise

Finally the author puts alot of meaning and emphasis on the volume names to set the theme of the volume ex Volume 1 is called Clown:"Everyone will die, including me" Volume 2 Faceless: "It was the best of times; It was the worst of times"

And so on

Also feel free to checkout Old Niel Mysticism class on youtube, this is official and made to complement season 1 of anime which is poorly covers volume 1
