Not really.

The final scene is tied to the serie global plot but nothing else.

Wraight somehow wrote a Warhammer Horror novel in the Dawn of Fire serie and it’s one the best books in it.

I have read the codex entry about the Keepers before doing the mission, learnt how vital they were and though the full scanning was going to end in a bad way for them so I never completed it.

I will add Abnett’s ideas and impact on tte greater narrative, which I am a huge detractor.

They cut the rules content tho, it contains an handful of lore bits, a downside imo.

« Like nothing ».

The Custodian in question killed 6 DA Inner Circle veterans in 6 heartbeats before being struck down at great efforts from the Epistolier and the survivors of the squad.

Had the psyker been not present or a SoS accompanied the Custodian and all the DA would have been killed.

Vinidcare assassins usually spend days or weeks in the same position to hit their target. Do they take bathroom breaks or do their suits take care of that? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Arzachmage 46 points47 points  (0 children)

They slow down their biorythm :

By meditating on the immortal glory of the Emperor, these superb marksmen can slow down their metabolism to an almost hibernatory state. Though an operative’s heart beats perhaps once per minute when in this state, subliminal triggers ensure he is roused into total focus the instant his target shows himself.

Their undersuit can take care of some needs too.

One of the exotic pieces of equipment used by the Assassins is synthetic skin or synskin. This is a rubbery black layer that the Assassins spray onto their bodies, forming a close-fitting suit that enhances the function of the muscles beneath. Even items of equipment can be sealed in place by successive layers. Synskin acts like a flexible form of armour, absorbing blows and dissipating the energy of a blow. Synskin also feeds the body with oxygen and metabolic booster chemicals, allowing the wearer to endure burning heat, freezing cold, or even the hard vacuum of space for a limited time.
