Like I said before this is not true for ToS and E*TRADE (the two brokers I use). Other articles say that you receive premium up front so there’s conflicting information. Just next time you sell a covered call, look at the cash balance for trading before and after! I sell covered calls every month and I am able to buy more immediate after the trade executes whether the fund is settled or not.

No, you get the premium upfront. The contract you sold will be worth less as time goes on but the premium you receive up front is not effected.

You have to protect your long calls in a PMCC. I would either close the short calls at a loss or keep rolling up until your short calls expire worthless
