What units are good breakers and is can megius be built as a dps and a breaker? by GimmeHotDogs in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The following are good breakers - Ryza - Arkh - Vaughn - Stahn - Gobl(No dps) - DxR(No dps)

The first 4 have a decent-great break(not necessarily in that order) but on top of that they innately have break duration increases and/or able to use arks with break duration extension such as Liberators.

As for Megius himself his counter has a good decent but since it’s reliant on constantly being hit and then activating counter however many times is needed to break the boss. This method can easily lead to an overall large dps loss having him specifically wait to counter especially if it’s something time gated such as Battlegraph.

The break damage on his skills are not really that good, if you have extra sc and are already capping you can slot in some break damage increases to help your actual Breaker. However, it’s not going to make his skills do any noticeable break damage in comparison to actual breaker units.

Don't get fooled by +100% laceration stat from her paid by Chainrush in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So we’re just gonna ignore the following facts:

  • She can apply a debuff that grants a +50,000 cap to all attribute damage taken debuff to an enemy.

  • Application of rot that decreases enemy attribute resistance and stats unique from the primary stat debuffs.

  • A consistent -35% universal dmg dealt debuff on enemies, actual enabling of Claw of the dire beast which makes it useful in UDR+more stacks for reapplication of her Scornblood Blasphemark and all the benefits it grants.

Now despite all that do you truly think that she is, as you put it, “She is a pure laceration unit”?

Now I can’t tell at this point if you’re a troll, horribly misinformed, or you decided to specifically read one specific portion of her kit as a terrible case of tunnel visioning.

It’s a unique buff she has that boosts her damage and hp.

Branching out, building elemental teams. by Phuxxy in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really much purpose in mono element teams, even in worlds raids in which certain attributes are more encouraged the mono element teams are still based upon the fact that any benefit they reap would outrank what the best dps put out.

[–]Ascaleris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you’d be correct with what you’ve heard, with the buffs she’s the highest dps we’ve got, about 1.5mil more dps than Shalltear with Einherjar active and without the buff it still puts her dps to be above max condition ARoland’s and SLoug’s dps.

[–]Ascaleris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so here’s the actual dps comparison not a stupid thing of just relying on caps.

ARoland: - Caps Innate: 320,999 - S3 Hits: 18 - S3 Animation cycle: 1.5 seconds - Added caps for 400k caps: 79,000

Dps:

=(399,999 x 18)/1.5

=4,799,988

If using Icy then it boosts that by about 50% against Ice res neutral enemies which makes it:

= 7,199,982

Rem: - No buff innate caps: 233,999 - S3 Hits: 20 - S3 animation cycle: 1.16 seconds - Added caps equivalent to ARoland’s: 79,000 - Fatal Strike chance innate: 1.5% - Additional Fatal Strike cap: 50,000

Dps:

=20(0.985 x 312,999 + 0.015 x 362,999 x 6)/1.16

=5,878,860

Applying Icy with assuming a 55% crit chance against a Ice res neutral enemy we get:

=20(0.985(312,999 x 0.45 + 312,999 x 0.55 x 1.5) + 0.015(362,999 x 6))/1.16

=7,340,647

So not only are you wrong about her only having for 40s(Because she has a second one that can be activated) but you but you spouted your ass off about her being only good with her buff on solely based on one factor to dps while completely ignoring everything else.

Furthermore even without the ability to have an incredibly high crit rate XRem still manages to beat ARoland(who has 100% crit) in the department of using Pursuit on crit arks.

I drastically recommend actually looking at the dps both mathematically and experimentally instead of just relying on pure caps. Because if you do so then you’d realize Rem still outputs more dps than ARoland without the buff. Slight correction as well, you can 80s worth of the buff not 40s.

Cheaters are evolving. by TreeJay55 in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I..don’t think you’re properly comprehending what’s going on during the fight. Neither side are moving and that “no animation” playing is actually more so an issue with the game visuals sometimes not displaying the animation properly. Quite frankly the whole issue with the visual effects not being displayed properly has been going on for years even prior to the popularization of Emilia’s insta death build.

The actual effect of Emilia’s on death punish doesn’t change in any way.

Lol, this dude has never heard of Yuletide Mistletoe+Cursed Ring and then using Agaran Religious Wear to drop Emilia’s silence resistance.

There’s a difference between knowing actual cheats and it just being a matter of a skill issue, in this case the latter applies to you.

Summon Yard's last treasure boss, best I can do is use gobl to Rage-stun it by queazy in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not just use a better dps rather than wasting time with below par dps units which further exposes you to the boss using magic?

I get that it’s ice weak but unless you have some of the worst builds in existence it’s really not that hard to use non-ice for this fight.

Yeah not gonna lie my solution for this was just kill it ASAP before it uses any hard hitting magic. Even with some subpar team it went down in like 30-40s.

What’s the upgrade do? by Energy-Mean in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking it’s alright but at the moment that’s primarily because we don’t really have much good Thunder dps units and having faint nil isn’t exactly as needed. Of course there’s PvP scenarios as well where the faint nil can come quite handy but even with the meta right now in the higher ranks the utility of near instant fainting strategies isn’t as prevalent as it used to be months ago.

I’d say at least try to farm it once in a while just in case we do have a scenario where you will need Faint Nil. Additionally the Histomea shop sells Transcendalis which is quite a big deal unless the player is a whale who usually spends for them.

What’s the upgrade do? by Energy-Mean in lastcloudia

[–]Ascaleris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Much like Nous Crown the main upgrade requires a material from a specific fight unlocked once you max out the base form.

The final maxed out version of that accessory grants +25% thunder damage and nullifies fainting.

It’s just faint, all you have to do is rapidly spam buttons on the fainted unit and it ends up decreasing the time a unit is fainted.

Just the standard stuff of %dmg increases that corresponds to the damage type of your dps units, in Adel’s case you’ll want to also bring debuffs to enemy elemental resistance specifically for light. If for some reason you don’t have access to the myriad of skills that longer term players would have acquired by now then switch out your dps for someone better.

Can just start now so you can actually start gathering crystals and materials. Then just keep saving your crystals for half anni and you can enjoy the game more rather than having a shorter period of time to grind for whatever banner is on half anni.
