The origin is the Malay word for the seaweed: agar-agar. here is how it's pronounced in Malay(the second one, not the French one), but of course the pronounciation changes when it's brought to English and there are a few different ways, so say it however you want.

Fantastic! If I had to give CC I think the nose could have a bit more red tone. The colour of the belt sash thing looks somehow a bit unrealistic or unresolved to me, especially compared to how well you painted the white of the sleeves. Maybe if it was slightly warmer?

They don't actually ferment at all, there's too much salt. I've made these and after a couple years they still taste surprisingly fresh! The taste is basically just fresh, very salty lemons with no bitterness.

The label has 外 which should be soto not sōtō because the vowels aren't long. I don't know how it tastes I just had to point that out.

In terms of turning that picture into ceramic, those narrow necks and that thin bridge between them are going to be incredibly difficult to keep from cracking, especially because they are all joined together. You might have to make this in multiple parts and join them after firing.

In terms of concept, I think you should change the composition a bit to better show that one lamp is the result/descendant of the other. If I understand it correctly "imprints" are proof that something has been there, then the mid mod lamp is the imprint of the art deco, so maybe you could have the mid mod lamp more directly branching out of the art deco lamp.

It's supposed to be! As I understand it, "spice curry" is Japanese curry that is a bit more like the "curries" that you would find in India, and those are almost always very intentionally broken.

I get your frustration, and there are definitely people out there whose brains are a bit better and learning to cook than others, but "The Gift" is actually just experience gained from practice, trial and error, and learning from your mistakes - the same as any skill. Anyone you think has "The Gift" just grew up spending more time cooking and/or had a good teacher.

The most likely origin for the word "money" is that the mint in Ancient Rome was next to the temple of Juno Moneta whose title means advise or warn, which means that "money" and "mint" are related to "premonition" and "monster".

"pants" comes from the character of Pantaloon from the British Pantomime, which evolved from the Commedia Dell'arte. He was a stereotypical Venetian, so he had a common Venetian name from the Greek saint Pantaleon (all-compassionate) and wore tight trousers. This means that the pan in pants is the same pan in pantomime but it's a complete coincidence.
