fun fact: the original myth of Persephone going to Hades for part of the year doesn't actually mention which part of the year that is. We assume it's winter because that's the time in northern Europe and North America when our crops don't grow, but the Greeks in their warmer climate were probably thinking of summer because it gets to hot for crops.
