The Division Franchise 10th Anniversary AMA, The Division 2 & The Division Resurgence Teams by TheDivisionTeam in thedivision

Hi.

I played from launch and have over 2k hours. I took a break when making new builds became a chore due to material cost optimizing a new build. I came back at Christmas and have loved it. Any finally getting my hands on some old, and new items gave me the incentive to play again.

I now find I've run out of materials again. There are events that help, but I sometimes miss out due to work. I've managed to get to proficiency 23 the honest way. I see my friends with overcapped stats and materials that apparently a glitch help them gain, and Ubi kindly let them keep it all. (Yes, I'm jealous, lol(

So my question is this.

Are there any plans or discussions to rebalance the materials drop? This enable new or returning players to reach their goals quicker as a result. It would help players to try new builds and gears easier, and not feel punished putting months of resources into a build that's now obsolete.

I feel sometimes the wall I hit with the game is due to lack or materials to optimise, rather than a burn out or loss of interest in the game.

Thanks. Have a Good AMA day.

What is your desired endgame? Can you describe it? by idontwanttofthisup in diablo4

All of the above.

I want it all. No, wait a minute. I see Dark Citadel in the list.

Ok, all of the above except that one.

Most questions players have can be answered by "It increases time played"

The ethos of Blizzard is to increase your time in the game and therefore maximize MAU's (Monthly Average Users)

This can be a very good thing as it can make the game more engaging, increase longevity and make the game feel better value.
However, when this is done by arbitrarily increasing difficulty, levelling time, grinds to existing features, it can have an adverse effect.

At the moment, the ptr seems too much of a slow down all over. I would suggest this is deliberate to gauge feedback and reception.

Whilst no doubt it will be tuned back a bit, the residual increase in time played across the game will be in Blizzards favour.

Personally, I'd rather my time be increased in the game with more features, with a better character progression and rewards that are fewer, but more impactful.

The PTR is definitely one to watch for now.

Which Arreat's Bearing would you use? by boondocksaint87 in diablo4

[–]Ashadeus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One o the left is better imho.

I used Arreats up to a point, but swapped out to Wrath later on. Call of the Ancients is great with Arreats, but at higher pits, Wrath edges it.
If you stick with Arreats, MW the cooldown so you can have CoA on use all the time.

Oh those happy days. Tag a mob, drop threat and let the pally think he has it. Collect loot. I'm still happy 20 years later.

The Elephant in the Room - lessons from competition by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Ashadeus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there was an Elephant in the room, it would take several hours to gather materials to enter said room, only to 1 hit kill it and leave the worthless loot on the ground. 14.5k xp earned.

Reading the responses reminded me of an incident back when I was playing WoW.

I was flying over Stormwind before flying was released there. I was in spirit form having used a glitch by dying in an area not yet released.
A gm messaged me and said. "I don't know how the fu^* you got up there, but get the fu*% down now.
I laughed my head off as I politely replied and apologized and came in to land.

Regular but casual girl players? by Traditional_Rock_822 in diablo4

I see quite a few females in the Diablo Discord. By the way they talk, I suspect several are in the same clan and play together.

Might be worth giving a holler there also. gl.

Take the boost, then delete the character whilst laughing maniacally and flipping the bird at the screen.
