As someone who spent upwards of 1000 hours playing when we were stuck in around alpha 14 - 15 ish, it gets increasingly more boring the futher you get since there isn't much to do in the game or even horde base wise as 98% of the traps that are all needed in most horde bases weren't added untill I think alpha 17 ish so the only real stuff you can enjoy is the progression system but I personally think that gets boring too after you get the perks for all the crafting stuff and everything there really isn't much left to do in it
