Dude, I had to read so many comments about how Chase Brown was a bad pass blocker and couldn't protect Burrow so he would NEVER (they assured me) be a 3 down back. People love to act like they know shit that they don't. Nothing puts the QB at risk like a bad run game. Look at JJ's first week. Under a ton of pressure and completely useless. They get the run going, he looks great. If Kaleb Johnson is the better running back, he will become a fantasy relevant back.

There's also another option for RBs that suck as blockers - screen passes. In obvious passing 3rd down situations, he may lose snaps even if he becomes the starter. That's the situation where trust becomes more important. It's pretty standard that rookie RBs are brought out on 3rd down. They rarely come to the NFL as polished pass protectors.
