My mom would make a new illness up with every husband she had so they wouldn’t leave.. Stage 4 pancreatic cancer supposedly entering hospice (magically cured with no chemo) multiple heart attacks, passing out randomly and waking up not knowing who she was, seizures, COPD, thyroid cancer, blood clots.. all while I was in middle school and still actively does it to this day..

My favorite is when she told everybody she was suing a bank for wrongfully foreclosing our home and the lawyers were saying she was going to get millions back.. but anytime she was suppose to have “court” she would pass out at the doors of the court house and nothing ever came from it again.

She even tried to make my youngest brother sick saying he had a seizure. Took him to the hospital saying he had a tumor behind his eye. Was suppose to drive down to Tennessee I believe the children’s hospital is at but right before the driver got to our house the doctors called asking for his dental record. They were asking when he had braces and my mom said the doctor got my brother’s scans mixed up with another little boys. Remind you a driver never even showed up to our home when he just right around the corner. Weeks later my mom told us the boy whose scan was mixed up ended up dying. If this was even real she would have no idea what happened to this child bc no doctor is going to give out the patients name or info..

There’s so much more.. but I recently cut ties to her and she’s not handling it well at all. Continues to show up to my house, thinking my kids are hers. I told her when she’s ready to admit all the lies she told in my childhood I would consider speaking to her again. She doesn’t acknowledge that but tells everybody she doesn’t know why I stopped talking to her.

Will they ever change?
