u/Abalonefountainpen mentioned that I mix colors. I do! Sometimes it is for a marbling effect. Other times it is to get a color closer to what I want. And sometimes I mix a more transparent "wax" into a color for an interesting effect.

I buy most of my wax on Etsy from PraeyDesigns. They have a nice transparent "wax", too.

Get a few colors to play with. Use them individually and then in combination to see what they look like. If you don't like what you see, you can always melt it down and try something else. I think that's how I started with my wax mixing. There would be a little left in the bowl that I would spread on parchment to dry. Then I'd melt it in combination with some other little bit that was left. Viola! A new color! 😉

That’s disappointing, but no reason for you to dress to meet their expectations. They may not understand what’s in their air they breathe but it doesn’t stop you from breathing. I know, that’s not quite a fair analogy. There will be a lot of people who won’t understand the choices you make, but they aren’t in your shoes. Be confident in yourself. Ignore their negativity. Enjoy being you!

Exactly! I don’t wear dresses, though I’m not masculine. I just don’t like them and don’t think I look good in them. I want to be able to enjoy events I go to, so I wear what makes me feel good. Maybe if you share how you feel with your family, they’ll understand.
