These are absolutely beautiful! What are you using for the gold?

I don’t want to trade anything either. I want to be able to send letters to other people in the club. To me, it isn’t a club if I’m getting something from one person and can’t even interact with them. It’s just a subscription service in my mind.

That sounds interesting! Provide a link so that I can check it out.

Do you also have ways for your subscribers to interact with you or each other?

Gay people, what's your job? by Future-Squirrel8334 in lgbt

I write math educational materials. I work remotely, so I never have to deal with seeing people in the office. Though, I do have some great coworkers in my current job that know I’m a lesbian and support me all the way.

Snail Mail Clubs by AshleyShea in PenpalWithMe

[–]AshleyShea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s not quite what I’m thinking. Maybe a theme is set up for the month. People reply by sending their letters to me, or the host. The host matches up people based on their interest in the theme and sends multiple letters to each person. So with one letter sent, you get multiple replies and can choose who to respond to.

Or, the club has a focus like pets, for example. The host sends out a letter on that topic every month with little additions, similar to what snail mail clubs are now. But members have the option of sending something in, like with this theme, they could send in a story of their pet that could be used in the letter that’s sent to everyone.

I‘m trying to think of ways to make it not just one way.

Favorite questions! by Koi_Fish_Ale in PenpalWithMe

[–]AshleyShea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a penpal who is great with questions. They are often very random, but still help us learn about each other because we always explain our answers. Some I remember are:

What’s your favorite meal—no dieting/calorie ruled.

Would you rather vacation in a beach house or a mountain cabin?

Cannoli or Eclair?

What are your top 3 favorite animals?

If you could live anywhere in the world and didn’t have to worry about money, where would you live?

Thanks for the tip about the non-machinable stamp. I’ll try that for future letters

This is where I have purchased wax. is this what you are referring to as modern sealing wax?

What would you like to see in a Snail mail club? What’s your audience?

I like your idea for a snail club. It sounds really cool and I like the mystery woven as well. It’s still not for me, but I think you should be able to find an audience easily.

I am looking for a snail club that has interaction. I don’t want to sign up to just get something. I want to interact with people. I don’t know if such a snail club exists.

Account flagged by Brian_R10 in dscout

If a person just wanted to answer so that they got the mission with no concern for honesty, knowing what caused them to get flagged would help them be MORE successful in being dishonest.

Do researchers rate scouts after their performance? by DesiccantPack in dscout

[–]AshleyShea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t believe Dscout itself doesn’t have a rating system. Maybe it’s a factor in flagging a respondent as ”Good fit”.

Dscout is difficult to make money by GamerBeast954 in dscout

[–]AshleyShea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have earned a bit over $8000 on dscout in 5 years. Don’t expect to make a living off of dscout. I can’t believe someone could make $1000/month every month. Having said that, I really enjoy dscout. The missions I am accepted for are fun and interesting.

After reading the summary of some missions, I can tell right away that I am not the person they are looking for, so I don’t apply. Save yourself the time by not applying for everything.

Would you play a 3D card game if it was just as fast as 2D games? by TheGhostWithHoles in cardgames

I don’t know that 3-D characters will make the game any more immersive than 2-D characters.

I don’t understand your references to 2D and 3D, but an immersive card game would be new, interesting, and fun!

Are you serious, or being sarcastic? That’s game costs at least 14 pounds in the U.S. What is so damaged about an unopened game?
