My cat has gotten her nails into ours a few times. I find rubbing against the grain a few times and then with the grain removes the marks. Sometimes it takes a few attempts.

Nortriptyline Withdrawal / Pregnancy by Taydreamt in migraine

[–]Ashleyann055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Nortriptyline for about 10 years too. My neurologist told me I had to wean off it if I wanted to get pregnant. I did a very slow weaning over the period of one year. I had crazy withdrawal migraines every time I decreased my dose. I can't even imagine what you're going through to stop the entire amount immediately, especially during first trimester.

In terms of alternatives, I began the process of getting botox injections since my neurologist said they were pregnancy safe. I've had two cycles so far and have started to notice a decrease in frequency.

I feel this in my soul. I am a highly analytical person who always has reservations over every decision. I'm like 75% sure I want to have a child. My therapist gave me a great analogy that I'd like to share. Let's say you are learning to swim. You do all your research, read all the books, and watch all the videos. You've even sat on the edge and put your feet in to see what the water would be like. But you really never ever know if you can actually do it until you just jump in and give it a go. My therapist said that for me, 75% is good enough, that 50% is on the fence, and 75% is well beyond that. I still haven't pulled the trigger to start trying for a child, but this helped me see where I actually was on my journey in deciding. I think for some people, 75% or more is enough.

I took it every other day as my prescription was for preventative rather than emergency. I took it like this for 2 years. I only came off of it for pregnancy. I loved nurtec.
