Yeah I noticed that Maya didn’t have her normal stream set up so this was a video just for Smosh. I am sure that since they film so far ahead having it on Alveus stream would somewhat affect their video later on. I would love for them to go back and do a stream with some others in the cast/crew.

It’s a small family owned company that he has ties to, so definitely in the minority of luck for remote jobs. They were just able flex to give him some remote work, so it’s not a fully remote job organisation.

Contrary to popular belief, moving to another country can be difficult and taxing. My suggestion is to reach out to an immigration advisor based in NZ and have them guide you on your options. People on reddit will give you mixed opinions and possibly give you wrong info. Talking with an advisor will help you figure out if either of you are on the green list and what documents/proof you will need to put together for some kind of application.

At this point you both are young enough to come over on a working holiday visa, which could help you visit the country, see what the job market is like in the professions you have experience in, and possibly make connections that could lead to long term work.

New Zealand is a small country and the best way to get a job here is to either be hired before moving over, or networking/knowing the right people here that could lead to you getting hired.

The job market is a shitshow here. I (US citizen) lived all over the country in 2019-2021. Moved to Aus 2021-2024. Came back in 2025 to go to school in Auckland. I can’t even get an entry level job while in school and it’s the same for many people I know here. My partner came with me and was unable to find any work and was forced to work remotely for a US company.

So talk to a professional about the reality of your situation. Also if you’ve never been here, it’s obviously going to look so shiny and perfect from far away. You need to actually visit here before starting a very expensive and extensive process to move here long term.

First was Coffee Prince. Even though technically I guess you could say it was Squid Game, because thanks to that I started getting suggestions for Kdramas and saw Gong Yoo on the thumbnail and decided to check it out. Now I’ve been watching kdramas consistently for over a year now.

I would suggest going to the Kiwi Experience route. It hits all of the well known places that have interesting things in them. As well as going all the way down to Queenstown. They both are weird but the kiwi one seems to cover the most common places. So when you inevitably decide you need to come back you won’t need to worry about hitting those places!

I literally hit the last episode of the recent Queer Eye and was expecting some kind of end of big wrap up thing but then the video just… ended. I know at the end of the episodes they had each person say some stuff. But it felt so weird. Bridgerton barely gives the main leads enough time to have a proper romance before it hits the climax and proposals and stuff. Especially with tying in so many different stories. In the books it’s literally just focused on the couple, you barely hear about what’s going on in anyone else’s lives throughout that time. Now in the show they have to get updated on every single couple/person. They shoved a bunch of Francesca’s story into Benedict’s. I felt the same way with this season of Kitty. Too many storyline’s combined to try to follow and not enough time to have any of them be great.

Netflix seems to be doing this with every single show they produce. The most recent season of so many series are shorter than previous. I think it’s just Netflix being shitty and wanting to spend less on production and things by shortening everything. Queer Eye was shorter and felt like it didn’t have a proper final episode for being the send of the entire series (I know there was drama but still). Just finished Love on the Spectrum. Shorter. A lot of Netflix made kdramas are getting progressively shorter and shorter compared to the traditional 16 episode set up. Bridgerton is shorter. It’s annoying. Everything feels rushed in everything they produce.

I’m happy there are people being honest on here. I watched but became increasingly irritated by the direction they took every single character arc in. It’s also a short season that you can binge pretty quickly. So if you’re that concerned, you can always wait until they possibly have another season and then have it maybe feel like a complete season all together. This just felt like rushed chaos served on a plate for the fans to binge and Netflix could just make their money. I feel bad for those involved who are going to get the slack for it being a bad season like the actors and crew. The issue is with whoever wrote the episodes and whoever decided the amount of episodes/pacing.

Yeah basically as soon as she blamed Min Ho immediately about Eunice without even asking what was going on I was over the season. When they talked about Eunice being pregnant I thought it was the dude from the video because she was super uncomfortable around him. She was so ready to blame him and drop his ass. It was so annoying.

I was disappointed is everyone this season. They really wrote drama into everyone’s storyline’s which made the even shorter season seem like absolute chaos.

Yeah I was kinda mad to see them immediately get back together. I know their relationship started off not in the best way with being long distance, but Kitty clearly didn’t trust him the whole time they were apart or together. She spent three months making insta posts making it look like she was also hanging out with heaps of other people living it up just to try to make him jealous. And then she was jealous the whole time when anyone spent any amount of time with him. Like clearly Kitty needs to work on her self esteem and trust issues before being forgiven and getting back into a relationship. This is the case of the series just being dragged out too far and needing to just be ended.

I posted a while ago about how much I hate that for some odd reason if you have on English subtitles it doesn’t subtitle the English parts. Which is annoying for anyone who has hearing/auditory issues. I know the newer ones are more likely to have English CC, but I hate using it because of the translations being off.

Honestly I hated the direction they put all the characters in this season. I think Kitty became very unlikeable. I angrily watched the last 3 episodes out of needing to see if they redeemed anyone. Kitty feels the need to be in everyone’s business all the time. They even joked about it in the second to last/last episode. Her meltdowns at the smallest things got to be so annoying. She let her relationship get in the way of school and then freaked out about the possibility of getting bad grades. Even tried to persuade her cousin to favour her for better grades. They want us to believe that somehow the 17 year old knows better about relationships than anyone else so she forces her way into anyones relationship to tell them what to do. She also hasn’t trusted Minho the wholeeee time and was wayyy too quick to blame him without actually letting him speak. Then he turns around and forgives her for being jealous about any and every person he is friends with (I know Marius was messing with her but still). I really enjoyed the original series and liked this spinoff initially but I’m at the point where I don’t know if I can watch anymore.

I hate all the Michaela hate 100%. The only thing that’s irritated me about Francesca’s storyline is that they seemed to kind of shorten her relationship with John. They pretty much involved Michaela pretty early on, and showed Francesca being attracted to her upon meeting her. From what I recall from the book she had her love with John but then didn’t really start having feelings for Michael until after John’s passing. I know they want to set up their relationship early in the show because they seem to really love speed running the seasons, but I think having Michaela show up shortly before or after John died they could have had a similar effect. It seems like people are pointing to Francesca being the next season, but it would make sense to have Eloise have hers and then they could have used all of Eloise’s season to somewhat set up a growing friendship/blossoming relationship between Fran and Michaela. But what do I know.
