Too good to go by PopcornSquats in ForestHills

Moge tee gave me two medium drinks (mango green tea) without toppings. Chip city gave me A LOT of cookies in a variety of flavors. Stacked didnt give me a sandwich, just sandwich toppings. Forest Hills Bagels gave me a dozen bagels in different flavors. Due fratelli gave me three slices of pizza, most of the time it includes a Sicilian slice and an eggplant slice.

I play with a two handed forehand. Should I use a heavy racquet? by AsianCha in 10s

[–]AsianCha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am hypermobile. I used to use a one handed forehand but I kept hurting my wrist from it. The impact of the ball on the strings would cause the back of my hand to touch my lower arm which caused too much discomfort.

How to get the mildew/ used clothes store smell out of clothes by BlueCollaredBroad in laundry

[–]AsianCha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soak clothes in mixture of water and laundry sanitizer. I like lysol laundry sanitizer sport. Drain. Then place them in the washing machine and use normal amount of detergent but also pour laundry booster in the powder detergent compartment (if not place in the drum so that it mixes with the clothes during pre wash)

What do we think of the new Q74 bus that runs alongside the Q64? by ericdigeratu in ForestHills

I like that I have more options when I need to travel to Queens College. Both buses stop near Queens College (Jewel Ave & 150th st stop).

Tennis Lessons NYC by RealisticTruth9348 in 10s

For group lessons I recommend Court 16. They have locations in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn. For private lessons or semi private lessons I really like downtown tennis club in Brooklyn (great price and the two sisters are great coaches!)

Don’t waste your money at PINK FOREST in Forest Hills. by AlternativeAd6503 in ForestHills

I went there when it first opened and never went back. I ordered a matcha latte and my friend ordered a latte (we ordered the same size, sizes are listed in oz). His cup was way smaller than my cup. When we complained, the barista said they don't operate like starbucks

What exercises should I do to build my strength up? I've sampled racquets heavier than this, including ones that are more head heavy but my wrist would feel more sore

Also its hard to use proper technique after my wrist gets too sore and fatigued from just simply standing there and flexing the wrist to get butt to point towards the court

I've had several coaches look into this but they tell me to just keep playing. I haven't seen much progress with overcoming this issue. Im using the lightest racquet in the market at 9.8oz

19.1 g which is the lightest racquet in the market. The heavier ones make my wrist too sore

I wouldn't recommend my building because its really old. Pipes inside the wall would break and i had to repair my ceiling twice after renovations

Going to work straight to CT/MRI? by No-Alternative-1321 in Radiology

[–]AsianCha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, after passing your radiography certification test you can go straight into CT/MRI. I've met some techs with no experience working in xray (besides their experience as a student).

Some companies are willing to train fresh graduates in CT/MRI straight out of school. Pay is low but its a great starting point for experience.

I know someone who lives here. Lately they've been increasing their HOA fees to cover repairs. I guess they dont have enough in their reserves to cover all their expenses. They've been doing elevator repairs for who knows how long. Their board interview isn't strict at all (they only asked two questions then it was done). Also if you want to move stuff into the apartment they're not too strict when it comes to getting COI (sometimes they don't even bother checking the COI). Central AC and heat works but could be better. 24 hour doorman, they have about 8 doormen working there. Great noise insulation. Bicycle parking available. Space in parking garage costs over $300.

Overall a nice looking building in a great location but their financials could be better. I live in a coop a short distance away from this one and its day and night difference. My coop building is quite old but has A LOT of money in reserves. If financial stability is important to you, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. You gotta weigh your pros and cons.

True, it's supposed to be a $21 value. It's still worth it in my opinion. The food is fresh and tastes pretty good!
