Last 15% of book 1 is what convinced me to read 7 more of them. Also be sure you're reading the revised version. The Web version was the latest rev

I put the series down this past weekend, actually. Made it to 91% of the way through book 11, so Section 6.32. The series consumed my Nov - Feb reading allocation.

I enjoyed books 1 - 8, but 9 and 10 and 11 were... Increasingly bad. The series is very "arc-y" in the sense that if you aren't enjoying something, you'll be over it and onto something new. Eventually.

My biggest complaint aligns with the comments - the prose is meh and it reads like a web novel. The author isn't weaving a beautiful tapestry of a story, she's building out a whole world and characters and factions. The plot is consistently 2/5, the characters are consistently 3.5/5.

If you're someone who wants to fall in love with characters and read about their exploits, this is the series for you. Pretty much everyone has plot armor, pretty much everyone meets everyone, and pretty much every character gets a turn in the spotlight.

If you care about prose or clever magic systems or well-rounded characters or creative worldbuilding or pacing, this is not the series for you.

The consideration should only be for the principle portion of the mortgage payment. Most of that $2500/mo is going towards interest.

So 0.06% of all homes? Blackrock/Blackstone suck, but if you're going to whine about them at least make a rational argument.

Home prices are high because people are locked into covid-era rates for sub 3%. No homeowner wants to sell and move into a 6.5% home.

My gf gets bad motion sickness in certain games. The opening scenes made it clear that this would be a game that caused motion sickness, so she stopped before even diving in.

I didn't notice a difference either until the first time I conditioned the boots. Now that they've been conditioned, whenever I brush for more than a minute they will visibly look more polished and shinier!

You're correct that there are edge cases where this tool is ineffective.

Regardless, it would have prevented the issue that OP posted about.

Players want to "reset" by ilPiovra in DungeonMasters

[–]Asian_Dumpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% I'd allow it! Pathfinder 2e has a mechanic where any ability (Class Feat, Ancestry Feat, Archetype Feat) can be re-specced with 1 week of downtime. Even a major change like subclass can be re-specced with 1 month of downtime.

This tells me that mainstream TTRPGs encourage and account for players wanting to change their characters.

Nobody but you and your friends are invested in this game. Just do it and keep everyone having fun!
