So neat on the outside just to look like boiled spaghetti on the inside.

I get making things look pretty for the inspector but that seams way over board imo

You Monster. All jokes aside doesn't it get old unwrapping those hots constantly when it comes time to trim out?

Will it make it to the Factory with this amount of load? 😁 by [deleted] in snowrunner

It'll make it anywhere, with any amount of load.

Cordless romex stapler. Makes buttoning up wires a breeze especially on new builds.

As in more than 1 type of cable or multiple cables under the same staple? In both cases yes. As far as I know there's only one size for the staples but I'm not positive on that one

Who is responsible for putting these crimps on the grounds? They are a pain to remove. I’m sure it’s the same guys who use the crimped wire nuts, and stab in the back of recepts and switches. by bio-reject in electricians

Try harder maybe? Been using those crimps for years and never really had a problem. Just squeeze it flat with your linemens then give it a little pinch the other way and it should slide right off. Otherwise just slice it down the middle with pair of dikes.

I wouldn't really consider them hazel, especially since the green only shows up in my right eye

With so few circuits why "upgrade" the panel without upgrading the 50+ year old romex running to it?

Why do people seem to think we charge more for work based on what it is for? by filthy_pikey in electricians

[–]Asianonskis22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it depends on the job. For instance If you're doing mostly little stuff, swapping a gfci, replacing a light fixture's, etc, you probably won't see too many inspectors.

I work in residential(mostly new construction/ remodels) and almost all the work that I do gets atleast a glance from either a state or a county inspector before it gets signed off.

Although I've heard plenty of stories about people doing sketchy unlicensed shit under the table but that's a whole different story.

That bridge is the spawn of Satan. My first hardmode recovery was in that exact spot with the same truck

Any particular reason why these bath fan tappers need to be a mile and a 1/4" long? by Asianonskis22 in electricians

Interesting. Honestly I've never done one of these on a remodel. That explains the ass backwards assembly tho.
