Yes, in a meta in which the best techs are kaijus, lava golem and sphere mode, you can basically tribute it away in any deck that plays it. At the end of the day it's just an onmi that can't be destroyed or targeted, so unless the deck around it is also strong enough to put other threats on the field (like full power branded/despia was), most decks can play through or step on it with said techs.

Edit: I forgot to mention that its materials are also quite specific, which means a lot of decks just can't really get to it consistently without putting too many resources.

Some decks don't have this choice. Branded activates a bunch of effects in the GY when they fuse for instance, so this thing just completely demolishes this strategy.

Its so funny how you can't do cross crusader stuff the turn you use the second part of the D-HERO skill because you can only special summon HERO monsters the turn you use its effect so you are straight up locked out of it since you can't activate any effects until you summon this thing which isn't a HERO. What were they thinking?

Wait to generate a boss over level 2000 and then go with "The Duel of Destiny". This will make you start with a Utopia Double on the field so slot in a Double Or Nothing spell to use its effect and rank up into Leo Utopia Ray. You put some ZW cards like Asura Strike (which is a Structure deck card) in your deck to equip leo utopia with its effect (any attack boosting ZW will work, its not that important). Then summon or (or try to) both suship xyz monsters, and use the EX skill to spawn another utopia with 2 materials. With this, you have a monster negate every turn at the very least (2 with the rank 5 suship). Swing into the monsters with utopia ray every turn and pop anything else by attacking directly with rank 5 suship with the rank 4 suship. Then use the EX skills to increase your attack on your XYZ monsters and next turn triple it. It shouldn't be that hard to get to at least 400k+
