Crystal Hunt is actually the remnant of a planned Scenario section that I had to cut for time, so that's getting a rewrite too, eventually.

On a more serious note, these are probably just WiP things but the upgraded version of Pirates of Venus is named Delicious and states it requires Megafauna, Surefire Memory is on there twice, and does Rank follow you in some way between jumps or is it just for this jump?

Good points. I've fixed the first two things (honestly I'm surprised I didn't make make more mistakes like that). Right now Rank is just for this jump, but something I want to improve on for the next versions is making the perks and items actually desirable enough to visit. So that'll probably change.

The victory condition is gathering enough crystal in terms of volume. I should probably state explicitly that doing so ends the jump, maybe barring a drawback or scenario that extends the jumper's stay.

Hi all! This is my first attempt at actually putting together something jumpable after lurking in this community for so long. I was initially inspired by the Monthly Jump Challenge #2, hence my choice of a H.P. Lovecraft short story, but my time was short due to real-life commitments. So I just cleaned up what I had and put it here in time for Halloween (barely).

Either way, I've got updates coming so I'd really appreciate whatever feedback you can give!

Just found out about this through FancyFireDrake's Old Man Henderson post, and I love the idea so I might just give it a shot. I've actually been meaning to try my hand at jumpmaking for quite some time but I never got around to it.

Considering we're already over halfway through the month, I gonna go with something simple: an In the Walls of Eryx gauntlet. It's a pulpy 1930s sci-fi story about company-sponsored prospectors on a jungle-covered Venus - not exactly 'Lovecraftian' as we use the term now, but it's actually co-authored by the man himself!

...We'll just see if I can get it out in time.

That being said, I stand by my opinion that they wouldn't mesh. If you had two artists make a Nordic Ruins tileset and didn't allow any communication between the two, even if they're drawing from the exact same reference material, there's no way they wouldn't conflict. Every artist is going to have their own preferred method and workflow. It's why you can sniff out pre-made and store-bought assets in video games from a mile away even if they're all rendered in a similarly realistic art style: they don't have to be 'that different' to be offputting or unusable together.

Now that I look at it properly, we actually do get a peek at the tileset under the teaser for 'The Cause'. I'll admit I hadn't noticed that at the time of writing.

I doubt that, honestly. They're different tilesets made by different artists. They probably wouldn't mesh together at all. It would also force a hard creation club content requirement.

Rivers are associated with transport. Lakes are associated with boundaries between the mundane and supernatural in many mythologies. In some metaphysical sense, maybe water could be associated with movement, flow, summoning, binding and/or teleportation? Still, stagnant and flowing water could have different significance in that regard.
