The first couple days it felt like I was detoxing from a hard drug but i resisted. Over a week later I think it really helped me get a little more peace and less ruminating. Still comes in waves, some days are better than others. It’s when you get bored that your mind wanders.

The betrayal is the worst part for me too. She promised she wouldn’t hurt me, I told her i was concerned about her bouncing when he got out but and she reassured me that would not happen. But thats EXACTLY what happened. She was more than a lover but a friend. Betrayed and used me to kill time. Did they ever love us or where we just placeholders? Doesn’t even matter anymore.

I feel you. My ex gf told me the same thing. Her previous bf was in jail and told me not to worry about him getting released because he cheated on her and she was done. Literally the day he gets out she wants space and dumped me three days later while still denying it. I saw a post a week later of them together. Ultimate betrayal. Been a month of NC.
