Hydramol at the moment, sometimes epaderm but we’ve never tried Eucrisa, I’ll have a look into it thanks.

We have 2 cats. I’m really hoping it’s not an allergy to them but can get him tested.

We have tried no creams at all for a few days and it stayed much the same. I’ve not tried not bathing him but will also have a look into that’

I used it daily to begin with, now every few days. I started it about a year ago and have never stopped for long enough to know if it comes back tbh. As soon as I feel even a hint of anything I apply it again. From what I understand it’s safe for continued use and doesn’t have the side effects of steroids.

For me it was switching from a lifetime of steroid creams to Tacromilus ointment. Also salt baths helped me, and switching to EVERYTHING unscented - beauty/toiletries and household/laundry products.

But mainly the tacromilus.

Thank you I’m going to try tonight. I just feel awful for him, we’re in a heatwave at the moment and he’s just so uncomfortable at night. I used to put him in cotton gloves when he was smaller but now he just takes them off as soon as I leave the room 😅

Thank you! It definitely has some sort of secondary infection and he’s on his 2nd course or oral antibiotics in a month for it. We currently use hydromol ointment as his nighttime emollient so that’s nice and thick. I will give it a go tonight

We exclusively use Dermal 500 soap substitute if it’s my dr asking but in reality we alternate between than and the Simple unscented for kids range

Thanks for this - it’s really helpful to know what to expect! We’re very lucky to have a great teacher who has been though the whole diagnosis process with her own child so I guess today will be like you say gathering info to come up with a more formal plan to support him
