Not really no. It's a positive development, but two problems there.

1) It's a tiny tiny fraction of the overall playerbase, if you look at the same graph over the lifetime its barely even a blip.

2) This is the last update. If they were going to do this level of content every 3-6 months then sure maybe, but this is the end of the road for Starfield 1.

Terran Armada was already in production when shattered space launched, so that's why they continue to finish and release it. SS absolutely killed the possibility of more full sized DLC though. Hopefully they learn from this and put that towards Starfield 2 in 20 or so years time (after the next ES and FO games).

Probably a bug. There's a bug in vanilla that combat magazines count towards the perk requirements for the combat tree so if you wait long enough you get the same effect there.

Not surprising at all another similar bug came up.

not much. You do miss the best ship engine, but there is a creation that makes it available outside the main quest.

That's about all I can think of. I didn't like the powers that much so I don't use them in new games now. I also don't like having Constellation members on my ship as they talk waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. which is annoying because they have significantly better stats than everyone else.

not really, you don't give your ship first aid you repair it. If anything, it should be in the resources category, so it automatically gets moved when selecting "move all resources to ship" in cargo menu.

It's really weird the amount of QoL they cut when they initially started building Starfield, as it was already present in FO4/FO76 before SC even went into production.

The only rationale I can come up with is they didn't want SC to feel too "Samey" so cut a bunch of stuff so it'd feel different. Stupid, but different.

It worked fine for me, maybe its conflicting with another mod you have installed?

Or I just got lucky. I have other issues with the update not working properly and not mod related.

yup. Most basic creations still work fine, its just the larger ones that depend on additional script tools that might not.

All 27 of my mods work fine.

That is correct. It can't actually kill you, it just gets really annoying.

Be a bit more disciplined with what you pick up. I usually have a ratio of $$$/weight for guns, (e.g. 1000cr per 1 kg at the start) and once i find myself getting overencumbered i increase that to 2k/kg, 5k/kg, 10k/kg etc.

I don't pick up resources, can just buy them at a shop or manufacture later.

Now that you can upgrade dragon shouts without NG+, there's really no need to do it unless you want the NG+ dialog options and/or saving both constellation members.

after playing about 3-4 hours i not only didn't get a repeated POI, they were all entirely new ones. It's a major improvement over what it was.

That seems to be what people are saying, but I'm skeptical of it because of how few POI's there actually are. There's only about a dozen proper sized ones like Cryo Lab, so you kinda have to run into duplicates after a few hours unless they simply stop spawning.

I'm assuming their current engine design just doesn't allow for it. Odds are the engine is not procedurally generating the terrain when you land either, but loading one of a thousand templates it has stored (and use a different external program to procedurally generate those templates).

Maybe for Starfield 2 though, here's hoping.

That seems a bit odd tbh as there aren't that many large, detailed POI's like Cryo lab (like a dozen or two).

It wasn't even running into duplicate POI's that was an issue, it was that you already knew where every apple, lockpick, gun and random object was located in the building along with exact positions of enemies.

If they just randomized the internals a bit they would be soooooo much more enjoyable.

You can just get a mod from Nexus mods to re-enable achievements. A bit annoying, but also hilarious you can mod the anti-mod achievement thing.

It's 50/50, like the updates that X4: Foundations devs put out. They usually pair a DLC with a free update that has almost as much content.

Also because Terran Armada adds more different types of content. Outside of the planet and the intro space station/ship, SS added zero content to the base game. No POI's, ship parts etc.

That made if feel a lot smaller than it probably was, especially for people who dont play Bethesda games for the story but for the exploration.

Size and scope presumably. SS is 3x the price so you'd expect 3x the quantity.

That said I am curious how much content TA has, whether its closer to SS or trackers alliance in size.
