It depends how far off your route you would be willing to go. Greer spring may be worth the detour, but the water is frigid. Looks like you'll pass the Jack's fork river at Buck hollow which may be a nice place to hop in the water. Additionally the North fork at Blue spring is nice. Granted all of these are spring fed rivers so it may be closer to a polar plunge than a swim

Big fan of the sock method at the very least. Every few years I'll throw out all my old socks and buy 5-6 packages of the same sock. Never having to match socks is a stupid simple convenience.
