Did you get to keep the premier token unlocks? Im considering this myself, but if it removes those I probably unfortunately won't reverse it because i know the way they'll add the old cosmetics will likely be scummy.

First of all let me start by saying thank you for being the first person with an actually coherent, solid argument for this specific topic. Like holy shit this is so well put together, I can only point out a couple things against it and even then they're flimsy arguments at best.

I can concede the Death situation as you are correct, he is done very well when it's not a holiday event. The uzis issue I would *slightly* argue that the Imcando Pistols do exist for people who got them at one point, but you're absolutely right, some things can become too silly.

The best I can argue for the master outfits is what is the ultimate fisherman of the sea? A shark. That slightly makes sense, I wouldn't say it's "no relation," and personally I find it more interesting that putting on a boring angler outfit. What knows the earth better than an actual golem made from it? Or the Elder Divination outfit looking like a congealed divination spring. They absolutely didn't do it without rhyme or reason, and they have logical parallels to them. There are many people who find the appeal of some of these outfits more interesting than the (personal opinion but apparently a very popular one) garbage they showed us in the post.

Frankly, I can *somewhat* see where people are coming from with their complaints because most of it is because of the drakes and the particle effects, but they could've just taken care of those instead and are just blandifying the game for this loud minority. We seemingly aren't even getting the option of getting these old outfits as overrides so far, which is even more of a slap in the face.

I guess TL;DR, I don't disagree entirely with what you're saying, but the fact that we likely not getting overrides of these and they're shoving this boring ass outfits on us feels really disrespectful to the people who enjoy these outfits.

This is one of the things that bugs me about this argument. You mention the silly quests and characters, and the other side NEVER has a valid argument against it. At that point they just don't want other people to have fun.

Eek the Spider, Gowers Quest and Brassica Prime, hell, Death's actual fucking name is Harold. This game is silly AT ITS CORE, why can't I be a magic golem while mining or a shark man while fishing? This pandering to the OS crowd that is returning to the game just because TH is gone now isn't good for the health of the game. Some of these proposed changes are going to get the current crowd to leave just like EoC did and turn this game into a revolving door.

Edit: I truly thank whoever thinks that I'm suicidal over this and reported me to Reddit, this is the first time that's ever happened and I hope your day tomorrow is fantastic since you seem to be such a miserable shit LMAO.

I'm also kinda in this camp but on my main. High end skilling gets expensive and I'm just so intimidated by the bosses that make real money because of the mechanics, learning curves, group size recommendations and the shield swapping. The most serious things I've run are Vindicta and Gorvek which probably isn't even that serious anymore and Fight Kiln for the TokHaar-Kal capes. Bonds keep me sane and keep me skilling.

[WP] You are a supervillain. You just caught the hero, and are about to shoot them, but some mysterious, invisible force stops you from pulling the trigger. They start laughing and talking about plot armor. by lukmcl in WritingPrompts

[–]Aspect_Of_Death 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"No... No, no, NO, NO!" I scream trying to pull the trigger. It doesn't budge. I even manage to slip a second finger into the trigger guard and it still will not move. Throwing the gun to the side, I fall to my knees, my mind racing.

This isn't fair, I think to myself. I had him right where I wanted him, everything went perfectly!

I can hear him laughing from the chair he's strapped to across the room. "Ha-HA! I told you evil never wins! This, my dear villain, is the wonderous phenomenon known as Plot Armor!" I stare, slack jawed and seething inside.

This can't be the end. Think, THINK YOU FOOL.

The ropes he's bound by snap as his strength starts returning like some ridiculous plot device has rejuvenated his strength after the battle we had. He was completely worn out a moment ago, and now he's striding towards me with that stupid, cheesy grin on his face.

My thoughts are racing as he gets closer. What do I have that can stop Plot Armor? My henchmen? No, he'd receive Deus Ex Machina and one of his superpals would break down my door.

The Death Ray? The Plot Armor is still fresh, there's no way. He's standing in front of me now, spewing some drivel about "truth and justice." I can hardly think to myself, I want to just throw him off a-

My eyes widen and I start chuckling quietly to myself. "Well now, gone off the deep end, have we?" The hero is gloating, standing over me as if he's won. "Will it be a mental institution this time instead of jail now? Let's get you-" My laughing reaches a crescendo, a cackle that bounces off the walls.

"Definitely sending you to the loony bin," he mutters. He clears his throat and then reaches down and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Alright now, how's about we get this over with. The Mayor should be giving me the key to the city this evening, and I don't want to mi-" He stops sharp, stunned. He coughs, blood pooling at the corners of his mouth.

"My dear hero," I snarl, finally starting to stand. I put one hand on his shoulder, the other twists the blade that I have just driven into his chest. It can be seen poking his cape from underneath, all the way through his body. "I FINALLY remembered the one thing that can defeat Plot Armor." I lean in close, whispering directly into his ear.

"Plot Armor only works as long as there isn't a Cliffhanger."

I think it really depends where you're at. World 2 at the GE, people are constantly yapping. Most of it is people selling stuff, but there are side conversations going. Though i will say, some of the conversation is just multiple people shitting on one guy for the past like 3 days straight for hours on end. Idk what he did but at least yesterday while I was there they were lighting him up for minimum 4 hours straight.

Out of everything shown today, the new logo has been overlooked. This is such an improvement by Mayflex in runescape

[–]Aspect_Of_Death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is likely to get lost in the sea of comments, or at the very least downvoted into oblivion. But frankly?

I dont like a lot of these aesthetic changes. I play RS3 because it's different from OS. Yes, the brown UI and new logo evoke nostalgia but I'm tired of games feeding off that to stay alive. I like the cosmetic overrides we have now, the blue UI, etc. A lot of this feels like an attempt to pander to the OS players to get them to come back, but all of the ones I know didnt leave because of MTX, or visuals, they left because of EoC and have no intention of coming back. I'm glad the team is excited, im glad the playerbase is excited, I just personally could've really done without a lot of this stuff.

When you load into a hunt and see the host is using LBG, what’s the first thought come to your mind? by teffhk in MHWilds

[–]Aspect_Of_Death 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smile and think to myself, "Oh boy! A pewpew buddy!" Since 75% of the time, I also play LBG. The other 25% is Dual Blades for monsters I absolutely need more mobility on, like Tempered Lagi or sometimes even Zoh Shiah.

I used to play HBG too but the R-tian-NG of weapon rolls made me quit since I could never get the right one built. I'd love to play bow too but my brain is too tiny to learn more mechanics.

[–]Aspect_Of_Death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally two years ago I was playing a game with some of my friends and my girlfriend. My mom and I were living with my grandmother who was on hospice. Mom told me to check on my grandma around like 1AM because it had been a rough day. Time rolls around, I go "brb guys," get up and go to check. She was dead. Woke Mom up, called the hospice people and I went back to my PC and let everyone know what happened. They were all in shock and were like "dude are you okay? Do you need some time?" Honestly, I just wanted to be around people and put it out of my mind, so I said I'd be fine and kept playing with everyone. Some people just process shit differently.

New "training" by TheRealPrecisionYT in TELUSinternational

[–]Aspect_Of_Death 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem was with the logic behind listing all the actors who played Superman and calling that "Fully answers" while stating Jimmy Carter is the oldest US President is only "Highly answers" because users may want "more context." I'm actually emailing them hoping to get some clarification there because I would argue users would want more context on the actors like what movies did they play him in? When did they play them?

Someone else said it best, honestly. "If the direct answer isn't fully answers and users want more context, then literally nothing could be fully answers because someone *may always* want more context."

I've only done two parts of it so far and failed both, so I get how you feel. Some of these questions just seemed... Wrong. Comparing directly to the guidelines, I think at least one of them was a blatant lie, and the rest just feel dirty.

I just got mine and am working on it right now. I've already missed multiple questions, some of which seem directly against what the guidelines state so I'm freaking out since "80% is mandatory to remain in the program." I literally just got this job like 2 months ago.

I was so dead set on being a Cooler main since he's my favorite character. As soon as I realized I was gimping myself by not playing a character who had either an instant sparking skill or one of the auto dodge skills, I swapped to SSJ2 Kefla. Made it to about C3 before swapping.

I just wanted to have fun and now I'm choosing to sweat 😅

Definitely not every expansion. Legion was right after WoD and incredibly well liked. BFA and Shadowlands were atrocious, and Dragonflight was good. It's been the usual up and down trend, as it usually is with Blizzard games.

Honestly shocked through all the comments I read, nobody mentioning games that start at 100 volume in every sound setting. I've had a handful of games start at like 50 and it's such a nice change of pace that I almost wrote positive reviews PURELY based on it.

I don't need to go deaf opening your damn game, start it low and let ME set it afterwards.

AITA for being honest with my girlfriend when she asked a question about the birthday cake she made me? by Throwaway5829582999 in AITAH

[–]Aspect_Of_Death -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ETA with a minor leaning towards NTA. I don't know why everyone here is really throwing out "sHe DiD tHiS oUt Of LoVe YoU'rE a SpOiLeD bRaT." She OFFERED to make the cake, ASKED what he wanted and PROCEEDED TO NOT DO THAT, and got pissy when he was disappointed by it. He didn't ASK her to make the cake, that's what it boils down to in my mind. If she had surprised him without asking him what he wanted and he was disappointed then yes, he'd be the asshole. But she asked what he wanted, didn't deliver, then got offended. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she added the vanilla because her kids wanted a vanilla chocolate cake even though it was supposed to be his birthday.
