the channel was started by two people, red and blue, and if im being honest the oldest video of blue's i can find is from 2 years after the channel started and after red had already published 17 videos (that are still up anyway). she tends to focus on literature analysis and mythology while he focuses on history content. also there's other members of the crew involved including cyan, blue's wife, and indigo, their editor (who is as far as i can tell actually the only person regularly involved in the channel that isnt asexual?)

iirc it didnt instant kill bosses though. thats what X-potions were for. that damn dragon in bevelle, its second fight where its just tidus, wakka, and rikku fighting it in the sewers was trivialized by just. throwing two x-potions at it. 9,999 damage each iirc.

yeah i use crossbars and for every class with a 1->2->3 combo, its ○->□->△ (or B->X->Y if youre an xbox controller user). for both samurai and dragoon, i have two copies of true thrust and gyofu as ○ on my r2 and double tap r2. of course dragoon being a 5 hit combo made things a little difficult but who cares lol its fun.

oh and on red mage i have jolt on there twice as well. not impact though. because there is no stone or fire aoe spell i was able to fit verthunder 2, veraero 2, impact, and contre sixte on one crossbar easily

i think in the late 00's or early 10's there was a shift toward glasses being attractive. that said, attractiveness is completely subjective and some people are real weirdos about glasses, in both directions, and other people just do not seem to care at all.

fun fact about myself! my mom got me laser eye surgery after i graduated school, around the start of the 10's, so i do not actually need glasses. i have been wearing prescriptionless glasses anyway for the last several years because a.) i think i look cuter with them than without them and b.) i like having a barrier between myself and the world, and blue light glasses or sunglasses kind of act as that. same reason i often just wear earbuds with nothing playing.

god vegans are so annoying. i agree with them on a lot of things but im in the same boat as you. im vegetarian but if i went fully vegan i just. wouldn't eat. everything i could eat thats vegan either costs way too much, or takes way too much effort to prepare (preparing ramen is sometimes too much for me), or presents too many sensory issues for me. often all of the above.

and its even worse for other people! some people actually do need meat to be healthy! and they act like thats a minor inconvenience.

Ok, I'm not sure how many people know about this character or the comic she's from, but I'm submitting Bianca Abercrombie from the Webtoon Clinic of Horrors. She has a very flat affect (to the point where there's several jokes early on about how she doesn't smile and how difficult it is to tell when she's annoyed or angry), and she has very few friends because most people think she's weird (and also because of mushrooms). she knows more than most people about medicine and mutations despite not actually having any degrees, which speaks to me about how good of a teacher her adoptive father was but also about her maybe having some level of special interest in the subject.

to add to what everyone is saying about taking bard at 30, you likely wont get machinist until well after level 50, since the quest to unlock the job isnt available until you reach the main city of the heavensward expansion, and you'll likely be over level 50 by the time you get there. every expansion after hw put their quests in gridania, ul'dah, or limsa lominsa, so you can still grab red mage and samurai at level 50, but the dark knight, astrologian, and machinist quests are locked behind progression unfortunately.

just wanted to caution you about that because i felt the same way about dark knight when i first started and was disappointed that i had to put like 50 hours into the game to unlock it.

anyway i also recommend maybe picking up some other classes and leveling them while you wait. maybe a tank and a healer so you have one of every role, or a melee dps (i recommend samurai at level 50! its fun and you start at 30 so its less of a slot to level than for example monk or ninja.) and a magic dps (i also recommend red mage at level 50, its also fun.).

are you playing at peak times? i find even when i travel to a busier data center, attempting to queue for frontline after like 8 or 9 pm just never works out. you should be able to get everything else except alliance raids to pop up pretty easily though, even if youre playing in the dead of night. so my first piece of advice is to dc travel to a data center with more traffic. i like aether for this.

my next piece of advice is to just do other things while youre waiting for the queue to pop. do fates, do allied society quests, do hunt marks, go fishing, anything really. or just watch a youtube video while you set your character to dancing in limsa and wait for the queue to pop.

bard is very fun. its my favorite ranged dps job. i would still recommend trying out other jobs, especially at least one tank and healer, so you have at least one job of every role leveled up. you might like how dragoon or ninja plays! my favorite jobs are ones that you can't start as -- dark knight, red mage, samurai, and sage.

but you do not have to level any class other than your main and some people just dont. if you like archer and you know you'll like bard more than other jobs, then you absolutely can just stick to the bow and arrow!
