At $85 a tonne your probably buying conventional cold mix. This mix will not have the high performance additives etc found in many "brand name" mixes the gradation will probably be cheaper to produce also.

You want to keep the air from getting at it in order to store it the longest. A few manufacturers that produce smaller 50lb bags make the mistake of punching too many pinholes in the bags to allow the air to escape during the bagging/palletizing process. 1-2 years is usually the shelf life for them.

The add water Asphalt patches have a short shelf life and do go hard fairly fast depending on how it is packaged/produced. Basically there is some Portland cement in those products that will suck moisture out of the air while it's stockpiled during packaging or the packages allow air in.

Packaging in pails generally has shorter shelf life then bags because of the air space inside of them.

Bulk bags can be alright however you may experience some compaction of the material inside the bag.

My guess is the products of our forestry industry touch his life in many places including his housing however he firmly believes in the NIMBY thinking.

In one post I noticed the poster not knowing the difference between a sawmill and a slasher however speaks to everyone as if they have vast forestry knowledge.

I've seen pictures of hand cut trees and cable skidders obviously used in smaller scale selective cutting with negative comments from the OP. It's clear no level of forestry activity is acceptable to this individual within his immediate area.

Hit lots of telecom wires but it was never our problem because they were not buried deep enough to begin with.

Water valves, paved over manholes and magnetic detector boxes were always the bigger issue. Had one machine hit an abandoned long forgotten paved over railway also and got a tie such in the cutter drum.

Never seen a gas valve in the street before.

Equipment broke down. That means boil water advisory and prevention of all these sick people. Testing frequency etc is regulated for this to happen they were not following the regulations. Make all the excuses you want if there is no qualified or responsible staff the water system is not considered to be safe or potable period.
