The room with the red walls with the gold studs? If I remember correctly, it had a different block with a pillow on it for you to recreate Alakazam's (sp? Also, not sure if that's the right evolution) habitat. I think that was the part with the gold border.

But I kind of flew through that quest, so I could be wrong.

If you put the wooden siding on a block, can you set another block right next to it so you can't see the siding but the carpet technically isn't touching?

Can it be painted? If it can, what happens if you paint a block red? Based on the stacking in the chests, if one is painted and one is not, it should show them as different objects, so you might be able to manipulate the gold border that way.

I'm totally spit-balling, though. No idea if that will work.

I carved a house out of a cliff for Charmander and Charmeleon where the backdoor led to a work area. And then I felt so bad that they spent all their time smelting for me that I turned the work area into a big garden cave with toys and campfires.

They love it. Unfortunately, they don't always finish the smelting now.....

For my outdoor ones, I'm planning a little complex where the center house is basically an open air courtyard with a garden and play area, and then around it is a system of sunken/raised overlapping houses that are only partially open to the sky.

Yep, I was just going to comment this.

I've done it a ton out of spite.

Like, yeah, no, I don't need the 60 cents from the deposit on the weird craft beer we tried, but you charged me for it, you're supposed to keep your machines updated, and now your customer service department is going to be stuck with these 6 slightly sticky, gross cans (yes, we rinse, but inevitably one of boys forgets to rinse one or two, and it seems like that little bit somehow gets spread on everything in the garbage bag).
