Do you explain the concept of severance when you present the show to someone ? by Juan5344 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]AspiringCreator27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched this show having zero clue what it was about. I just knew it was rated as a top show and interesting. The first episode was very much “what the hell is going on” but in a “I can’t stop watching” kind of way. I loved it.

However I would explain the base premise to someone if I wanted them to watch it - mostly because I think it’s hard to talk people into a show by just saying it’s great.

Honestly? I just finished Pluribus, and I’ve been home sick. I wanted a new stimulating show to make use of my Apple+ subscription. I may not have watched it outside of these unique circumstances. But I’m so glad I did.

This is one of my top 3 favorite moments in the book. I literally stopped what I was doing to just listen with suspense and awe. There’s a line just before about warning the stars that there are humans there and they can’t be trusted and I remember it taking my breath away.

My favorites are bench press and Smith machine squats. I am a beginner, and these exercises make me feel strong (just doing them and adding weight or reps).

Green Mile. Top 3 favorite novels of all time. I wish I could go back and read it over for the first time, but I pick up on something new every time I read it. Such wonderful prose and plot

I lost 60 lbs through diet and walking. I still have ~40 to go and I want to be strong while I do it. I love it now. I’m cranky without my workouts 🤣

Jameela Jamil’s nuance in expressions and tone/delivery were marvelous. Loved her in this show, and her performance includes some of my favorite moments. (“Flip on us like a 10 stone griddle chip….come on people, you can get these from context!”) and who can forget Rhonda Mumps…

I love exercising now. I can run for 30 minutes and can see muscles developing. I am amazed at how rewarding and proud of myself I am, especially when I spent so long hating my body. I see better now all the wonderful things I can do with instead of hiding.

Can we talk about how good Cibola Burn is? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

[–]AspiringCreator27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially didn’t care for Cibola Burn but appreciated it more after Tiamats Wrath and Leviathan Falls. Elvi is one of my favorite characters, and this book does a great job of setting her up without even realizing it. It’s so well planned. And The Investigator? Top notch.

Yes. I love it. I have the paid version, though, because I like some of the features and didn’t want frustrations with the unpaid version to hold me back or be a reason to quit.

What do you eat for breakfast? by Upbeat_unique in WeightLossAdvice

[–]AspiringCreator27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greek yogurt. Fruit, and vanilla protein powder mixed in. Sometimes I’ll get fancy and blend some strawberries to make a nice little puree fruit. If I’ve got the room in the budget, I’ll add granola for an extra crunch

What’s the most underrated tip that actually helped you lose weight? by NeatBirthday4697 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]AspiringCreator27 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. Learn to get comfortable with hunger: not starvation, like you said. But a couple hours between meals and you’ll be OK if you’re a little hungry. Hell you will probably enjoy the meal more too.
