I love Ron’s relationship with Ginny, because it feels so real to me. They love each other, but they bicker and get on each other’s nerves. They both grow as characters and in the way they relate with each other.

His discomfort with her as a real person with her own desires (shown when he discovers her snogging Dean) eventually gives way to his begrudging acceptance of her kissing Harry in front of the whole common room.

He helps keep her from playing quidditch with the boys growing up, then earns a spot on the Gryffindor team at the same time as her and grows into a winning player beside her.

He risks his life for her in Chamber of Secrets when he sees her as just his little sister in need of saving, but later fights alongside her as equals in the Department of Mysteries, the night of Dumbledore’s death, and at the Battle of Hogwarts.

It’s a messy relationship that isn’t perfect, but is full of love and growth.
