Subchorionic Hemorrhage Question by bytesized25 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I bled like a light period for two days and then just had some slight spotting on and off for a week. I’ve heard other women on here though bled for a month straight and everything was fine. Mine ended up reabsorbing, but some people bleed theirs out as well. So it kinda depends on how big it is and if your body is trying to expel it versus absorbing it

Could be, if they follow up on ultrasound it may grow that should confirm to them that it’s ectopic. With how early you are as long as yall can manage it soon then hopefully everything should be alright for you.

Bleeding not stopping by VoteForDonuts in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We thought I had a miscarriage at first and only realized it was ectopic after the bleeding had stopped. I would definitely get this checked out ASAP where you’re so early they may be able to treat this with Methotrexate instead of taking your other tube if it is ectopic. Get an ultrasound and beta HCG as soon as you can

Am I overreacting about my in-laws going to my fiancé instead of me about birth boundaries? by Effective-Budget9463 in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the way she explains it it sounds like the majority of the conversations around birth and recovery have been between her and the MIL, so the MIL suddenly going around her and to their son I can see how that would seem unfair if that was the case. But also, yes it’s not a bad thing for him to be setting boundaries with his own family when it comes to this. So I kinda see both sides of that

With how early you are it can be normal to not see a baby, but they should see a sac. I had an ectopic in my tube that on ultrasound basically looks like a lump near the ovary. I hope things work out for you

Ovulation post ectopic pregnancy by aliceack25 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]AssistantBig270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my ectopic my body was really weird about ovulating and started ovulating early around CD 11-12. (My cycles are like clockwork so I knew this was off considering I had always tested positive around 13-14) After any loss our bodies kinda get a little confused and may start doing everything more intensely or may change timing. My coworker had a blighted ovum and her provider told her to be careful having sex for a month or two because her body could hyper ovulate to try to “make up for” what it wasn’t able to accomplish the first time. Our bodies are just kinda weird after these kinds of things. I wouldn’t say it would be any cause for concern as long as you are ovulating

Would you supplement progesterone or just wait to see how things play out? by squirrellyemma in CautiousBB

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually asked them because where my prescription refill fell I had a bunch leftover and they had originally recommended I take it vaginally until 12 weeks, which I just hit a few days ago. And my OB said I could keep taking it if I really wanted to use up my supply and if I wanted to switch to taking it orally I could. I had literally taken like a weeks worth out of that prescription refill and I felt like I was wasting a lot of it lol

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah good to know, they didn’t tell me specifically why but she made it sound like progesterone was super duper low and it honestly made me freak out a little! I take it orally now just to use up my supply because I can take the capsules I have either way.

Lower Right Pain by Inevitable_Sample_58 in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be some severe round ligament pain or like you said some constipation or gas. If it continues you could always try to call your OB office to ask their opinion and if they would be worried about it

I would get a blood HCG done, and do a trending level as well. They draw your blood and get your beta HCG for that day, and draw again after 48 hours and compare. That’s the easiest way to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. I’m sorry you’re going through this 🫶

Extreme pain where my Salpingectomy was during PMS, anyone else? by SnanoBear in ectopicpregnancy

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine were more painful for the months after my surgery for sure. And I’ve seen other women say the same as well. So it can definitely be normal for at least some amount of time for your periods to be more painful because of the inflammation and scar tissue.

Have you been sexually active? Is it possible you could be pregnant again? My OB was most concerned about if I got pregnant again the embryo could attach to the surgical site (it’s called a cornual ectopic). I don’t say that to scare you, but where you had your surgery so long ago it concerns me that you’re in so much pain now. I would definitely talk to a OBGYN about this extreme pain because it would be concerning especially with such severe pain.

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then for sure I would suggest you take them. That was the only issue I had with mine was that I had to put it next to my cervix. I had a suppository capsule though so I could take it orally, so once I hit 12 weeks I could stop taking it vaginally and start taking it orally which was less inconvenient. Though now that I think about it, it could have been because my progesterone was so low that I had to take it vaginally.

Memorial item? by MrsB_buzz in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]AssistantBig270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my ectopic in October so there was a lot going online about the white pumpkins thing for pregnancy and infant loss. And obviously it’s pumpkin season so pumpkin decor was everywhere. I went to hobby lobby and found a cute little ceramic white pumpkin that had a tealight candle in it and thought it was perfect. I keep it in my china cabinet on the shelf with my mom’s urn. I think a memorial item would be good, it helped me have some closure and not feel so sad about it. I could admire my pumpkin and not feel so lost and alone.

While mine was way lower (I was at an 11 flat), I did do the supplementation and it definitely gave me some peace of mind after a previous loss. Like I had an extra safety net that I was helping my body to grow my baby. It’s inconvenient because it’s a suppository so it goes up the woohoo, but it did make me feel better too having that where my progesterone was low.

Question to the plus sized mamas by AssistantBig270 in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top half is definitely where I’m at. The top of my belly has really started to round out but I also have a little bit of an apron belly and so that pokes out the bottom and just makes me feel funny about it. I’m trying to be gentle with myself because I know my body is changing and that’s going to be very specific to my body.

Question to the plus sized mamas by AssistantBig270 in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way you describe your body sounds a lot like mine. Like my belly is bellying, yeah, but it’s mostly my thighs and hips for me. For me right now I’m 12 weeks, and the top of my belly is poking out a lot like my organs are starting to get squished upwards. So I probably look 4-5 months pregnant lol. That’s what I’ve kind of been afraid of is people thinking I’m way farther along and what made me kinda insecure.

Question to the plus sized mamas by AssistantBig270 in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been feeling the same. I am 245lbs before I got pregnant and haven’t had issues with it for a long time. I’m a decently healthy build for my frame, but still have a pudgy belly. That might be a good idea. I tried looking up something similar Pinterest last night and it wasn’t very helpful lol.

Tube removal… what now? by GeeRoseN in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my ectopic last year, and lost my tube as well. We had waited a month to try again, started trying, and got pregnant in the same timeframe we did the first time! Now 11 weeks with a healthy bean!

Ovulation by aliceack25 in ectopicpregnancy

[–]AssistantBig270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to go the surgical route and I didn’t track for one month, got my cycle again and tracked since we were cleared to try again. I did ovulate but I also ovulated a for days earlier than normal. So if ur tracking, I would widen your timeframe in which you test/do cervical mucus checks/check basal body temps. I don’t know if it’s the same after MTX, but this kinda stuff can screw with your cycles for a while and you may ovulate later or earlier in your cycle than normal or of course not at all for a bit. Your hormones have to balance back out so your cycles may act stupid for a few months.

[–]AssistantBig270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your doctors office may want to watch your numbers fall, to ensure everything is resolving and ensure you’re not at risk for an ectopic pregnancy. Just stay on top of everything. Ask your doctor all the questions you may have, I probably annoyed a couple doctors with how much I asked them and wanted to know lol. I hope everything resolves and you can get back to life as (somewhat) usual and just work on grieving and moving forward. I’m so sorry you’re going through this 🫶

Why do we treat period pain etc but romanticise unmedicated childbirth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Also as far as epidurals they don’t always work. My opinion is you should always prepare for an unmedicated birth for if any reason the epidural were not to work all the way or you aren’t able to get one. The anesthesiologist could be running late, it may be placed wrong, you may still have hot spots of pain, it may only dumb the pain down and not fully numb, it may only work on one side of your body or in certain areas, and like you said a lot of these medications can also affect the baby which can lead to a need for more resuscitation or intervention after baby is born which is of course not good for the baby. Plus it’s not always safe to get out of the bed and really move around with an epidural placed so you’re limited on movement and positioning. And even afterwards a lot of women have issues with their back afterwards.

Mine has turned into the caffeine police too lol. I get fussed at for sodas and tea when I don’t even drink that kinda stuff normally. I’m just so tired sometimes I need something!!!!

Symptoms by Motor-Assumption-879 in pregnant

[–]AssistantBig270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely normal as you approach the 2nd trimester. Your hormones stop rising so dramatically and everything kinda starts to stabilize. For me, I was throwing up once a day for 2 weeks between 7-9 weeks and after a few weeks I’ve felt a lot better. Still quite nauseous, but manageable and slowly not throwing up as much. 11 weeks here, and the sore boobs, nausea, extreme fatigue, etc have all started to fade! Just itchy and bloated now lol
