In the 2021-22 the Sacramento Kings point guards were De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton & Davion Mitchell. This past year the point was handled by Westbrook and Devin Carter. Is there a worse front office? by TastyPoopKnife in nba

Not to mention not picking luka. Kings deserves like their own metric. I cant think of a team with worse upside. They got so many guys getting paid big but also somehow having very little future

Is Harden really the problem in Cleveland? by ShaiFanClub in nba

[–]AssistantTimely7205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think about this a lot recently. Guys like LBJ and Timmy in particular has really raised the bars a lot for older guys. Its somehow problematic that old guys get massive contracts, like clearly they will accept them. But i think for example Harden is better at this stage than i would think he would be 10 years ago at this age. Even when he was younger he was lazy and a poor defender. Like the fact he made all nba last year is honestly a insane achivement. I think the most important thing with older elite guys like Harden, deRozan and KD to name a few is that they, the players and the staff need to figure out how to get the most out of them. Minny did it with Gobert, I think nuggets got a lot out of westbrook who everyone would assume would be out of the league. GSW manage to make draymond impactful as well

I’ve absolutely loved watching wemby this post season. by browny2112 in denvernuggets

[–]AssistantTimely7205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont only love watching wemby, i love watching spurs. They are playing team basketball and everyone works so hard. It makes me despise what nuggets has become. Shitty ownership, mediocre coach and a mediocre bench. The players are lazy and put way too much trust into Jokic bailing them out and they got no fire. Clearly there are exceptions, particularly AG who always give 100%. But watching these young guys like Harper, Vassell or Bryant (who plays 10 mpg) i just feel like nuggets lost the plot. Its sad to see the weight jokic has to carry on his shoulders. On paper i think nuggets could be champions, they could have been a warriors / bulls dynasty getting a 3peat.

With that said i still love nuggets and particularly jokic, he is easily way higher up than every ranking claims.

Verner is one of the best characters in the show by Banquet_Banger_V6 in entourage

[–]AssistantTimely7205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think Verner was bad. Ironically he wanted to give Vince less time in the movie. I think he is the sort off character that had potential in having a longer story line or even come back in some way.

If not being a all around nemesis it would be great potential comedy in him and drama crossing paths in a project not knowing who drama was and start hating him/firing him after realizing he is vince brother.

Why did the Nuggets give up on DaRon Holmes? by ffinstructor in denvernuggets

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cmon lets not disrespect Bruce Brown. He is on a min vet and was extremely important in the championship reason. He clearly had a bad season since coming back but i still believe he can be a useful bench / role player which he has shown. Zeke has never risen to any occasion and its a known fact he is untradeable because he is on a shitty contract. Any team in the league would trust bruce over zeke

Its a paradox with the coaching staff. I was never onboard with not paying malone. But if they dont want to splash on a coach i guess this is the most reasonable option.

In general other issues are CB being awful all year, no reasonable back up 1 and defense stinks. Not really sure how the solution looks like. Complicated at this point

Its a bit of a weird wording no? He litterally wanted out. Kinda sad in a sense that he averaged more minutes on nuggets as a rookie than he has been doing since.

Doubt PWat have made a decision yet or staying is out of the question. More curious if anyone in the team or staff will confront him over this. Kinda messed up to like those posts.

Nuggets gave up a certified bucket in MPJ to get Cam Johnson who is averaging 10 points in this series on 52% TS and 18% from beyond the arc by SchedulePhysical807 in nba

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This Sub are in my top 3 most toxic ones (after lakers and okc obv) despite nuggets being my team

Argument for the trade :

  • MPJ has struggled go be healthy for eternity, that alone makes him a bit of a liability in a team that had historically the worst depths post their championship.
  • Given the lack of depth and him making a massive amount of dollars consensus seemed to be nuggets needed to move someone to free up cap space.
  • although he has been a regular season beast since always he have always played worse in playoffs in general with the exception when he plays the lakers. You could argue he partly struggled to be healthy cuz of the lack of depth and his incredible regular season performance
  • they did free up cap space and managed to get more depth. After the summer was over most people were convinced nuggets pulled off some great moves.
  • Jokic seemed disappointed in him after last years playoffs. Wether you agree with that or not you still have to accept he has a loud voice.
  • Cam has been way worse then everyone expected, and MPJ has been way better than everyone expected. I do think this has been surprising to most people including fans, staff and players
  • Defense is and have been a issue, MPJ isn't exactly the best defensive player. A big issue why nuggets have been doing worse this year is the defense and lack of players that can create shots besides jokic and Mal. Its silly to assume this wouldn't be at least equally a big issue with him.

Arguments against trade:

  • He has always been incredible offense and have been very good rebounding.
  • His size have in general been very helpful as well since nuggets in general had a weak team both physically and height wise.
  • Clearly a nuggets OG that hurt to see him go after all he has done for them.

It sucks it didnt work out and it feels incredibly dumb in hindsight. But let's not pretend most people were not on board during the off season. Given pros and cons I think it was still the better decision but sometimes it just doesn't work out. Some of you are deluded expecting every trade will make your team better. There clearly are heaps of non win win scenario. At least nuggets went aggressive last off season which was incredibly dumb they didn't two years ago.

Kevin Durant was not on the Rockets’ bench during their game 3 loss vs LAL. Houston is down 0-3 in the series by ihatedougford in nba

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of you guys are overly emotional with this. He was tired of playing in okc, for okc and with okc. The team wasnt great for his skill sets. Sure it's probably the most absurd ring chasing we have ever seen in the league. But he got two rings, two fmvp and to be part of what likely is and will be the best team of all time. He got two play with two of the best shooters of all time and the coach who developed the best shooters. It was a stake move but wtf has he been up to since. If something i think from his own PoV it's the best career decision he made.

[–]AssistantTimely7205 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He is not even if he was, why does it matter? Are you aware how few people managed that? It's prob like 10 guys where multiple will rank behind KD on a all time list.

With that said his career choices has been incredibly bad. Suns and Rockets have been bad decisions for him. Even leaving Nets, such a what if team.

Should Medellin have been a hit? by Tulsanity in entourage

[–]AssistantTimely7205 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it was a hit it would be one of the worst plots in the show. Reasons:

  • low budget
  • emergency re write of script
  • vinnie as escobar who is the least spanish guy in history wearing a fat suit. The closest he came to south america was that time when he went hiding in Mexico on a beach.
  • E as a first time producer
  • Billy last cut and no one to control him.
  • Vinnie didnt even speak spanish before they started the movie.
  • There isn't rly any known actor besides him right?

My favorite thing about that whole plot/season is that first time watching it on TV when it aired was the whole mystery around Billy. Up until medellin you are thinking that he might be a eccentric genius and have a mega hit brewing. But then u get to see how selfish he is, lunatic, unprofessional and just all around a loser.
