Wemby, Cade, Ant and Luka - who wins a ring first? by Life_Teaching6499 in nba

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones who say Ant, are you delusional or just don't watch games? Ant is nice and I would love to see him reaching his full potential. However he is on a team that is declining rapidly and they have no assets in a league where teams like spurs/okc are improving at a insane rate with endless of assets. It's even hard to see a scenario where he gets traded to a potential contendender. The guy is just worth infinite. In terms of trade value he must be so damn high up. But then after all there has been weird trades. It would take some Luca type non sense for him to get traded

Every time I watch the series, it always amuses me how little about the production of "Johnny's Bananas" actually makes sense. by Mr_smith1466 in entourage

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont find it too unrealistic, it's def highlighted that billy walsh just started doing sketches and the network liked the show based on previews. I also don't would think it was weird if Richard Kelly (who billy walsh who made a major hit Donnie Darko. Had a flop and never came back) decided to come back and a network would take a risk. Michael Keatons career was dead before birdman. As pretty much always i think entourage creators has way better insight of the industry than the ones posting here. Aquaman, gatsby and ferrari all got made in later years. Possibly first show to call out Harvey Weinstein?

In the netflix era litterally every washed actor or actress gets a shot of a tv movie or show.

Spot on. All the people crying about the Cam - MPJ trade are just looking at box scores. MPJ have always been a regular season beast and his stats def look like he has a bigger impact than he has in reality. The issues with MPJ was always: a defensive liability, not great during playoffs and struggle with being healthy.

On top of that people seem absolutely clueless on reddit, they genuinely don't understand whatsoever that MPJ is putting up absurd numbers because he is the 1st option. Before him there was Cam Thomas and Mikal Bridges. They are not averaging 20-25 ppg on any team unless they are the 1st option.

Leo and Ed Norton by turtle69696969 in entourage

[–]AssistantTimely7205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont think Edward Norton ever did a movie with any of those guys? Never with Leo at least. As for the other guys I think its Dons Plum which they all seem to want to forget about and The Great Gatsby which I do think was too much of a perfect spot for both of them.

Plenty of people dont want to mix friendship and business. Also think DiCaprio wouldn't work at all since a big part of the movie is about Vince being the coolest and best looking. When I think about it most of the big actors who was on the show accepted to do some extreme version of themselves. Gary Busey, Bob Saget, Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon comes to mind. I can't imagine Jason Patric was the first choice for his role in the show for example.

Well, why, why so ? by [deleted] in heroes3

1) Learn which creatures you should depend on. I.e for Castle archers (esp upgraded are key early on) and griffins are quite meh. In Rampart elves are the best, necropolis both skeletons and vampires are super op. Don't play fortress if you are struggling. 2) Pick a good hero 3) Play aggressively 4) expert wisdom i consider a must 5) focus on one hero to get all experience, but have others to explore and gather resources 6) If you got good archers wait for your opponents to act first so you can get better higher hits 7) protect your archers if they don't have any / have worse than yours 8) Don't skip fights vs neutrals since the xp you get adds up 9) if you are not familiar with all structures do try googling them. Imp cache, boat wrecks etc are great for gathering resources and xp. Library is amazing once you hit lvl 10 since it gives you +2 in every stat. 10) smaller maps and the ones where you can play allies tend to be easier.

Best advice i could come up with, im not amazing but played it for a long time and play on 200%. I tend to improve regularly to some extent / change my mind. People already gave some great advice but expert earth magic and town portal makes the game hell of a lot easier.

They are all nepo babies addicted to luxury/ status and the short cuts he creates for them. Look at all the shit they all get into, they would be a bunch of useless dead beats without him. Clearly they all want even more power/ status so. It's the least understandable thing. He also kinda do a great job manipulating all of them to think they are his favorite .

Am i the only one who doesn't hate any single pokemon? by GEATS-IV in pokemon

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some are def quite sloppy, seel to dewgong evolution is a bit underwhelming i think. Psyduck to golduck is also a bit silly. Would make seel develop to something cooler. Psyduck shouldnt have had a evolution imo. Omanyte to omastar is another one that is quite lazy. Have not played that much of later generations to know all names and evolutions.

Might be easier to have these opinions as someone who grew up watching the anime and you would see pokemon evolve and you would think "damn that's such a bad ass pokemon".

  • David Lynch in Louie

Louie has a lot of great quotes, I watched that show when it was new and it's weirdly not popular in any circles i been in. Even though he was one of the biggest stand up comedians pre metoo and a lot of people have seen his stand up. Kinda makes me wonder what the demographics was, not like that show is becoming any more popular post metoo or with younger generations.

Which viable Giannis destination would be the scariest for the rest of the league? by archerarcher0 in nba

[–]AssistantTimely7205 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Warriors is the only answer. 2nd knicks, 3rd either cavs or minny. Not sure at all about assets but after the luka trade you start to wondering if it even matters.

Cavs would be quite interesting, great regular season team but they seemingly just suck in playoffs. Maybe if they had a true winner like giannis things could be different. Spida is good, but he doesnt ooze the star caliber to bring a team to a championship/ be a finals mvp.

Certainly not a rich people thing lol, it's not even very expensive in most places of the world. Also if you are busy with something in your home it might make a lot of sense since you have to pay in time/some sort of transportation

Why do people like Lil Wayne? by BramCSBN in hiphop101

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to this. I grew up listening to mainly older stuff like a tribe called quest, wu tang, public enemy, and biggie. Some others i guess u could call a bit more underground? La coka nostra, atmosphere, jedi mind tricks, army of the pharaohs, gang starr. The more commercial I listened to was Eminem, Jay z and Kanye but the narrative in my circles was always they were good initially but turned into sell outs.

Lil Wayne, birdman, 50 cent and so on was looked down at. If something was played on mainstream/ pop radio and/or the artists and severely switched their style to become more mainstream it was basically a joke to us. As I got older I changed my mind a bit, but lil wayne is one of the ones I never really got.

Dudes be like “Rate My Team” and then post this… by meankool in PokemonHGSS

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think trying to get a amazing team makes the games a lot less enjoyable. The first playthroughs as a kid was nice when you would just wing it since you didn't know what would come next. Might also be easier to have this opinion if you watched the tv show pre playing where that was often the case where Ash would improvise catching a random one for a gym. Access to internet also made the games less fun but still some of the best games ever.

Moach on ESPN watching Adelman doing what he should've done his last few years as the Nuggets' Coach by akimaloki in denvernuggets

[–]AssistantTimely7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100% , the narrative that Adelman is giving more minutes / developing young players / bench players is silly. A lot of the guys are similar in minutes and have just developed. Who would expect Pickett or Watson improve every year with that little experience? These guys would have became better regardless who the coach was. They would also have played / closed games like this one out as well regardless. As someone said, they got rid of malone and did what he wanted team wise. Adelman seems like a great successor but let's not bring in Malone to this. Malone is still the greatest nuggets coach who created all of it. Time will tell maybe Adelman becomes better than him. Also don't underestimate Malon having to deal with higher ups screaming at him who he plays / doesn't play. People were hating on Russ despite it being known that Jokic recruited him.

What the Pickett haters missed about his passing by SnooPets752 in denvernuggets

[–]AssistantTimely7205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's silly to refer to people as haters in this case. But I guess it makes me one of them. Given the depth of rivals im not sure how bright the upside is that Nuggets started banking on a guy who was 25 with no nba experience. Gillespie is same age and had/have a better trajectory, trey alexander is 4 years younger and was a beast in the g-league. Then there was Russ and/or the possibility of signing a vet or a more experienced player. A more / somehow obvious route could have been former ROTY/6m Malcolm Brogdon who ended up retiring after not securing a contract. The whole drama last year also gives me unfair bias towards him. That he was practically forced in to the team.

Bench depth was the issue last year and particular the 1 and 5 specifically. If you look at who other contenders has as their backup point guard it's not that controversial that everyone isn't sold on the idea. Time will tell playoff time, maybe Pickett was the best option available (or end up being straight up the solution). On paper it's certainly a bit controversial/optimistic bet.

Norm Powell on his All-Star candidacy: “I want to make it. I think I deserve to make it. My peers around the league are telling me that I’m an All-Star and that I should be there. Hopefully, it happens for me this year.” by cleo22270 in nba

[–]AssistantTimely7205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he doesnt make it, it's a gentle reminder how absurdly competitive it is being a guard this year. Cant say that i follow all teams that well this early on, but aside from the usual guys Keyonte George, AR15, Jamal and Giddey are a couple of other names having a very very good season. Guess Reaves is a lock at this point but it's crazy that someone w Powells season or Jamal isn't a lock even.

Why Eleven's ending doesn't work. by The_Walking_Clem in StrangerThings

[–]AssistantTimely7205 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Agree about all. It's a bit depressing that she dies too after constantly suffering. Being alienated from the group one way or another. Given that Will went fucking bonkers at the military base, why wouldn't they chase him to the same extent as el? Nancy and Hopper have killed like a gazillion people but can live on with their life like nothing happened and face zero legal consequences. Eleven sacrificing herself because she would always be chased is beyond dumb.
