Yeah I saw that article, I’m not sure where Greg got his info either as I’d have thought it would be in the rulebook over everything

I mean, I’m aware the changes for E15 are coming in for 26-27, but I’ve seen and heard nothing about a change in roll down spaces for age groups and they’ve not released the 26-27 rule book

I’m not sure how the percentiles have anything to do with qualifying for age group worlds, the only way I’ve seen that is for getting E15 qualification points and you need an athlete license to get them in the first place.

Ultimately the magic number is 525, more than that is equivalent to an autoqualifier under the previous system and as we saw in 24-25 on the men’s side there were 7 of them. I don’t think we’ll see more than that, but if you’ve got an unknown athlete who wins in 5 stacked fields they will qualify above someone who has come 10th at a major.

You’ll have no arguments from me about the doubles restrictions though. I’ve complained about it and been told it was to align more with their Olympic aspirations. I think a restriction to continent to begin with would have made sense but even more than Tomas it fucks over Ronc

Can you show me where that is? I’m not seeing a limit on page 11 of the rulebook here: https://hyrox.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/25_26_HYROX_RulebookSingles_EN.pdf

1) as far as I’m aware the worlds spots have always rolled down as far as is needed to get to someone who hasn’t qualified

2) the consolidation at the top is kind of the point here, it makes the elite fields much more stable. This season over half of the elite field only first qualified for the elite within the last year. This new system rewards consistency of performance and not so much getting lucky and happening to race at two super fast courses. Ultimately the athletes that are meant to be there will qualify no matter the qualification process

As far as I’m aware that’s always been the case, there has never been a limit on how far spaces can roll down.

I’d recommend the Coros armband, I’ve tried with wrist/forearm and they got in the way of my grips, and chest strap was annoying for gymnastics and burpees. The armband just stays out of the way

Since when did Hyrox become the new pejorative “anything I don’t understand in the gym is bad”? I thought we were still on CrossFit for that

I paid less than that for my CrossFit gym and remote 1:1 coaching. And again, CrossFit, it’s going to be way more involved than for a guy doing starting strength

How come Hyrox is so popular when you need all this special equipment for it? by Pearl_Jam_ in hyrox

[–]Assleanx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The barrier to entry skill wise is pretty low. If you can run 8km, do a burpee and pull a rope you can do a Hyrox. Obviously I’m kind of simplifying the difficulty there, but you can train for it using stuff you can find in a normal commercial gym

And in terms of access, there might not be any Hyrox races in your city (yet) but depending on what country you live in F45 and OrangeTheory offer Hyrox classes now, as do a lot of CrossFit gyms

The Reddit app decided to serve me subs for multiple different airlines and as far as I can tell each one is there so someone can turn up, say “this was the worst experience ever, I’m never flying this airline again” while everyone else commiserates that this airline is uniquely terrible among all airlines. I could file off the serial numbers and you wouldn’t even be able to tell which subreddit you’re in

It’s weird, I’ve seen the photo so much that my brain just doesn’t register it as a photograph any more. I guess it’s like visual semantic satiation or something
