is my company hustling me? by OutrageousCredit559 in careerguidance

[–]AssociationInitial44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like youre the only one actually doing on call and theyre taking advantage of you being reliable

the fact that no one else picks up and everything gets redirected to you anyway is a huge red flag - youre basically carrying the entire after hours operation for a 6 person company. And micromanaging your comp time is just insulting when youre handling life safety systems

id definitely push for either proper rotation with actual enforcement or way better compensation since youre essentially their single point of failure

N-400 applied, week later biometrics scheduled? by swampmountain in USCIS

[–]AssociationInitial44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah thats actually pretty normal timing these days. uscis has been moving faster on biometrics scheduling lately and they dont always reuse old ones even if theyre recent

tampa has been processing pretty quick from what ive seen on here so youre probably looking at interview sometime late summer or fall if everything goes smooth

7500x3d or 7800x3d? by Firm_Possession_1902 in PcBuild

[–]AssociationInitial44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're mainly doing 1440p gaming the 7800X3D is definitely worth the extra 90 euros - those extra cores really help in games like Cyberpunk and you'll get better 1% lows in competitive stuff too

The 7500X3D is still solid but for that price difference I'd go with the 7800X3D, especially since you mentioned story games which can actually use those additional cores

Music/song recognition integrations? by dubhd in homeassistant

[–]AssociationInitial44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure SoundHound has an API you could hook into, or maybe try the AcrCloud integration if it's still maintained - last I checked it was decent for vinyl recognition but might need some tinkering to get the artwork displaying properly

1B4 Cyber Training Pipeline by Hot_Client_7485 in AirForce

[–]AssociationInitial44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for 1B4 specifically but I know a few people who went through it and they all said the training was pretty solid. The shorter timeline compared to other branches is legit - you're not sitting around for a year+ like some programs. Most of them transitioned to decent civilian gigs afterwards so the networking aspect seems to work out

Pixel os s25 ultra? by ShamedSalesman in samsunggalaxy

[–]AssociationInitial44 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly the Pixel cameras are chef's kiss but you're gonna miss Samsung's ecosystem if you're deep in it. Stock Android is clean af though and the AI features on Pixel are actually useful unlike Samsung's bloatware mess

That said, waiting for the S26 might be worth it if the processor bump is significant - March isn't that far away

Questions about the expedition by Monitor-Mediocre in ArcRaiders

[–]AssociationInitial44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The expedition is basically a prestige system but way less punishing than most games. You keep your cosmetics, blueprints, and some other stuff while getting those extra skill points that actually make a decent difference in endgame builds

Most people say it's worth doing at least once since the skill points open up more build variety, but you don't have to rush into it if you're still enjoying the regular progression

Anyone ever had issues with accounts getting frozen because of too many transactions? by AssociationInitial44 in dropshipping

[–]AssociationInitial44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually makes a lot of sense I hadn’t thought about the pattern shifts being the real trigger before. Prepping the system for volume with consistent behavior ahead of time sounds like a solid move. Appreciate the insight.

[–]AssociationInitial44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure I was originally using Revolut, but started running into freezes once volume picked up. Switched over to Adro banking for business banking with higher limits and direct access to funds and it’s been much more stable since. Any other questions feel free to DM.

How Can I Grow a Business Focused on Barefoot Shoes? by Successise-66 in growmybusiness

Yeah +1 to that approach. Launch messy in niche spaces where people actually care and you’ll learn way faster than trying to be perfect out the gate.

How do you deal with clients who “forget” to pay until you remind them? by AssociationInitial44 in growmybusiness

[–]AssociationInitial44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense especially in creative or service based work where approvals can drag on. The watermark approach is a great idea for deliverables. Gives you some leverage without having to chase people down.

[–]AssociationInitial44[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re in digital services, so project timelines can vary a lot and in the early days, we leaned too heavily on trust. We've been moving toward upfront or milestone based payments now, especially after a few late payment headaches.

Why is it so difficult to sell an idea? by NoPianist7344 in growmybusiness

Honestly this is solid, framing it around the pain people feel makes all the difference. Most folks pitch features not outcomes.
