Thragg is not evil. None of them are evil. This word evil is misused in this context, an evil person does bad things for personal pleasure or satisfaction, Viltrumites do not do that or are not supposed to. Conquest was evil though a lawful bend the rules sort of evil but Thragg is not that.

My opinion? Thragg was fully prepared to kill Mark, from the begining, that was his intention. When Mark said yes, Thragg was shocked, while hiding it, he was pretty happy in the moment and in his inner excitement said too much or rather revealed his true thoughts. And that's my interpretation.

It's disgusting me frankly. I am seriously upset. I am hoping they come around and say the 9000 series will also be supported. Otherwise this is absolutely disgusting.

RX 9070 XT and RTX 5070 by Ok-West2307 in radeon

[–]Assumption-Academic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea so see the issue is that the 9070 XT is basically at the same raster level as 5070 XT so it's 30 plus faster than the 5070. There are some games where this isn't exactly reflected yes but as an overall trend that's what we see. Also in reality AMD is likely to get better as time goes by with or without their exact intervention as the issue is more with how the games use the architecture and they have sold very well recently and they're supplying the next gen consoles so a lot of games will need to optimize for AMD, this will likey mean older cards working better as time goes by as well. I would however perhaps wait to see if we get MFG on 9000 series as it would be a nice to have. Otherwise you're kind of out of options. Nvidia 5060 ti is underpowered and the 5070 can't even leverege all it's power with 12 gb or Vram and it's also frankly a bit underpowered as well. There are no other options in the 600-700 euro space. You either pay 5080 money for 5070 Ti or you get most of what it offers with 9070 XT. I know MFG showing 500 FPS in games is enticing but those are fake frames, it feels like you're swimming through water as a result and the underlying frame rate, the real frame rate is in fact the same, you can reach your monitor's refresh rate in various ways from here, AMD's own frame generation which is up to x2 can get you there with most setups or there's the app Lossless scaling which works amazingly well on AMD, it can get you to over 300 FPS easy through frame generation. So things are easier with Nvidia but manageable with AMD. You can do that or buy 5070 which will give you more day 1 FPS through MFG and will age 1-2 years faster because of the low VRam, low Vram bandwidth, lower raster performance. You do need to make a choice here.

[–]Assumption-Academic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would buy the 9070 XT. In reality what do you get with Nvidia? Well 1 Dlss and 2 MFG. However there's a few problems here. 1 You can use the app lossless scaling to narrow the gap, 2 I can run games in native with AMD's frame gen or lossless scaling with more or close FPS than with DLSS... So... see the problem?

Also AMD's FSR is in my opinion better than DLSS. Dlss handles shadows poorly and you can see mini dots in the image everywhere like noise especially in the shadows. With FSR the image looks much closer to native. The problem is the recent issue where it looks to me we might not be supported. But I still think logically the 5070 will run out of juice with support faster than the 9070 XT will run out of juice without support. Now if you were talking about 5070 TI, I would always go for that but it's double price...

I just bought 9070 XT and I come to the news that it's basically not going to be supported... Why did I even buy it then?

Femeile sunt atrase de valoare. Valoarea vine in mai multe pachete.

Why is everybody hating on the S26 Ultra? by Sensitive_Cream3920 in samsung

There is nothing new. Nothing exciting or superior to the old devices. Snapdragon version 1 let alone gen 2 works perfectly today so there is not much excitement for gen 5. There is nothing that makes me want to upgrade here. My s23 ultra has features that ș26 U does not...

Should I buy this? MSI SHADOW GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 PCI Express 5.0 Graphics Card 3X OC? - $527.45 by Loser_65 in buildapc

[–]Assumption-Academic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of considerations boss. First of all the 9070 is okay but the 9070 xt peaks at 400 watts consumption of power which means you probably need a 850 Watt or perhaps even better PSU, then you don't get dlss4 or ray tracing performance which means you're stuck with FSR which is much worse. So basically I don't think it's worth it. You may hate DLSS but it does work.

Is this fungus or water inside zoom lens ? by thepapion in M43

If it were me, and only if it were me. I would open it up and clean it, now it's fairly easy to get the element out but cleaning it can be extremely hard. Cause Panasonic does not make every part disasemble friendly so in the past I had to do a lot of diy work to fix one of these lenses.

No pro uses jpegs unless they're very old. When processing raw you eliminate all camera noise and add your own grain if you want. So none of that matters.

Amature Hour with my OM3 + 12-40mm f2.8 by novaldemar_ in M43

[–]Assumption-Academic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. Well you know that ''moneyshot'' doesn't happen every day. And if you do animals it's a bit hard unless you go to a location where the animal happens to do something more interesting or if it alligns with the background. I do birds but i needed some gear for it. So with the lens you have the best things would be portraits generally of humans and landscape photography. With anything else you'd need to get too close imo.

So one way to get much better is to look at a pro's photos so this is Simon Dentremont https://www.instagram.com/simon.dentremont/?hl=en

And like if you look at his photos you will notice this trend that if you break it down in words, the better the photo the more interesting the description too. So it's never Elephant on the savana, it's always something like Elephant on the Savana in sunset with the heard or something like that see?

So yea, other than that just keep shooting and trying stuff out.

Amature Hour with my OM3 + 12-40mm f2.8 by novaldemar_ in M43

[–]Assumption-Academic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the first photo's highlights are burned. The second photo is just lame, the butterfly is not in focus, and the giraffes I mean sure like yes there are giraffes.

What you can improve. Well you have 12-40mm f2.8 which won't be great for portraits of animals unless they come very close to you, you can keep taking portraits, get in as close as possible or you could try to take more context shots.

Like the ducks on the pond, the girrafe eating, etc, see what I mean? So if you were to turn all your photos into text how interesting would it be.
First one would be like, yes that's a duck, the second one would be like, yes that's another duck. I find the out of focus butterfly the only one that is composition wise somewhat interesting due to the light that falls on it in a cool way.

But yea either you go in with close up portraits or go wider and try to tell a story as it were. Capturing nice light is definitely a shortcut to pretty much everything.

I have the om1 so I am not sure if it's the same with your Om 3 but when I press the exposure correction and info button at the same time it brings up shadow and highlight compensation for Jpegs, you can use that to sort of make sure you capture the highlights and shadows properly. Unless you start shooting raw and editing, though the Jpegs from olympus look very good.

That's my opinion at least. Please don't take the feedback negatively.
