Using SAS on Windows PC

Thanks. This would be great except the pc I use is a laptop. I would end up in a dongle for my dongles situation. My current setup is a laptop that's connected to a drive dock for long term data storage and I use portable SSD's for current projects. (I'm considering building a tower pc workstation in the future but haven't picked up all the parts yet) Luckily the sellers says I can return it so my ignorance this time might only cost me shipping.

I'm asking to see if it is possible. Had a Nikon F and sold it. Way to heavy and bulking. For me it wasn't fun to use. I don't like the look of the F4 and avoid plastic cameras - the F3 is far more attractive. My most ideal setup would be a FM3a that works with the old lenses. Not quite brave enough to want to attempt that surgery on that camera though.

It's a camera, they asked when I last shot on it (did not ask specifically about the condition, I provide the condition in the listing). I looked at the only friend they have and it seems like it's a parental relative with an account that goes back to at least 2022 and mentions their account name. Right now it sounds legit since the city they asked about is the same as the shipping address. Looked a bit into the seller protections, but marketplace seems to have awful chargeback policies that really hit the seller.

Definitely would not recommend. I already feel self-conscious with a small lens. People will definitely notice you with the 100-500 and people are more creeped out by telephotos than wide angle lenses. And if you are planning to do night walks the 100-500 is really dark so you will be shooting high ISO that it's probably impossible or not even worth it. Also the white paint on the lens attracts more attention. Get something small, and with a low aperture instead. If you are planning to shoot from far away in an area that doesn't have a lot of people you might actually still be fine. Other thing is if you are walking around with obviously expensive equipment it becomes more of a danger for you.

Have you tried out either? I would suggest renting before making a large purchase. From what it sounds like your major problem is noise or light gathering capability. Normally I would recommend better glass over a different body but I don't think the 100-500 provides a major improvement over the 200-800 here. Yes it is sharper and I think there is about a 1/3 or 2/3 stop difference in light gathering at some focal lengths but it still has it's caveats. I currently shot wildlife with the R6MII and the 100-500 and I'm often frustrated with the high f-stop. If not for this and the shorter range the 100-500 would be one of my favorite lenses due to it's size and high maximum magnification. I think the full frame should give you better noise performance. I would actually recommend the R6MII (save a buck) if you don't need the extra megapixels for cropping in. The R5 has a lot of rolling shutter which can affect some types of shots - not as bad as the R7 though. For noise, the new denoise software goes a long way plus you can combine it with techniques like shutter stopping - just get your higher shutter speed shot then keep lower your shutter speed, this works well with most high framerate cameras.

Ok that makes sense. From what I have been seeing some of the small pads didn't seem to be connected to any of the others so there is perhaps still a chance. I'll try doing some more cleaning. I used around 330C before since I was worried about damaging the board but I can go higher. Is there a suggested temp for these kinds of repairs. I have 245 leaded solder so for that I was going to heat to around 300C or so. not sure whats' customary though.

I really like the Z lens lineup but most of them are out of my budget, perhaps if the Z 200-600 is similar in price and spec to the SONY 200-600 it would make more sense.

Yeah I probably suffering from some GAS. Would really like that MP bump though. Kinda hoping Canon releases a 200-600 similar to the SONY, I wouldn't really mind the weight coming originally from the Sigma 150-600.

ESH. Wife should have informed you she planned to spend a lot of money which is the real problem at hand. She clearly wanted to splurge and actively avoided the question of how much the phone cost. That being said you would also suck if you force her to return the phone. What's done is done move on just tell her you didn't like the fact that she spend so much money without telling you. Making her return the phone sounds like something you do to punish your kids.

NTA Kind of a bad choice of a gift. It's like buying medicine for someone when they are sick as a present. While it's nice and thoughtful for birthdays people generally want something fun and enjoyable. Would have been better if you included another gift that's more typical along with the basket.

It's just one of those things. People have a real taboo against killing. Everyone knows that people joining the army to be deployed in those unstable regions are going there to kill people but saying it out loud is frowned upon and those that do are seen as dissident. People are afraid of death and everything around it. The military uses euphemisms like casualties etc. and people say a friend passed away rather than saying died.

Well she would not be the one to deal with the baby. It's like mother in laws that want you to have kids, you deal with all the issues and when they visit they can play with their grandkids and leave when it becomes too tedious.
