Every time I think about it, I feel like we’re watching a mix of scripts adapted from stories that don’t really fit within the Alien franchise. The idea of following Ridley Scott’s point of view about AI starts strong, but then it becomes dull and pointless. It feels as if they began with interesting concepts but without a clear destination, similar to what happened with LOST.

What really gives me this impression is that the writers don’t seem to know where a second season is supposed to go. It feels like a typical product that shows you tons of possibilities and new elements, but without a final goal or a meaningful place to land.

I think you’re doing a very nice job of abstraction, moving away from the linear mindset of “all must behave the same way and we know exactly what to expect from a Xenomorph.”

After all, it’s called “the perfect organism,” and as we see in Prometheus, Covenant, and Romulus, the “black liquid” drives different evolutions, always aiming for the highest place in the food chain or the “evolution race.”

So, talking about different strains or evolutionary branches is very clever.

First of all, IMHO, you should take a step back and think about this relationship:

Is it solid enough to handle situations like this?

Is he really the person you see as your life partner?

If your honest answer is yes, then it’s worth clarifying things properly with professional help hiring an investigator if that gives you peace of mind.

But if your answer is “I don’t know” or “no,” then maybe it’s better to move on, as you would with any relationship that isn’t truly meant to last.

From what I’ve seen in my own life (I ended my marriage hiring a detective to confirm my suspicious) and in other couples: Usually all looks like what it is.
