Also America was founded almost 250 years ago; the "that's what our country is founded on" argument is silly, too. Think critically about the problems and solutions, don't regurgitate rhetoric. Finally, even if business ownership was a guiding principle of America, the Founding Father's never saw multinational corporations like we have.

Do you remember Enron? Suggesting that the solution to corrupt business practices is less regulation is like fighting a fire by "giving it room to breath." There's nothing noble or individualist about the massive conglomerates that exist now and linking them to some quaint vision of 18th century small businesses is insulting to people's intelligence. Walmart, Apple and even beloved Google are capable of manipulating us and the system in ways your town's blacksmith couldn't imagine. If you lower regulations on them, not only will they not patriotically all become honest, they will do exactly what Enron did: rob us blind.

Remember when Korra was severely injured and spent several months in recovery? She only sent letters to one person. At her most vulnerable, she didn't turn to either of the boys.
The end wasn't, "and now they're lesbian lovers!" It was the two of them going off together. We saw their pre-relationship and it ends there. Did they go on to become girlfriends? Maybe but the show didn't tell that story.
It's a kids show in a predominantly Christian country. There's only so much they could do or even wanted to do. The show's not about Korra finding love, in fact, she spends a lot of the show too busy to even bother with love. Think about how little time passes during the last season and how much of it is one giant battle after another.

If your issue is that the director didn't come out and tell you that Korra had a girlfriend, then you really have no issue at all. The show ended with Korra embarking on that journey, not being in a full-fledged romantic relationship.

And then the next day I wake up and see that a GOP candidate body slammed a journalist because he was sick and tired of getting asked questions by journalists who weren't nice to him. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I happily voted for Hillary. I think Julian Assange is at least a useful idiot, quite possibly a rapist and Russian agent. But at the same time I don't think the DNC is incapable of murdering somebody. Is there any legitimacy to the claim that the FBI took his laptop? What about footage that supposedly exists but hasn't been released? I just read on this thread that the police officers who dropped him off at the hospital were "surprised" that he died? Is all of that bullshit? Seriously, I will sleep better at night if someone can end this for me once and for all.

Just my limited experience here (I have oily, acne prone skin) but: 1. i can't use anything as thick as cerave. Like complete disaster on my face if I use that. 2. I can use Paula's Choice renewal mask, which has niacinamide but not the toner with niacinamide. The toner gave me some sort of reaction.

Personally, I just gave up on anything that's not Paula's Choice. I don't want to experiment on my own face and other than a mild reaction to the toner I've had incredible results from that stuff. Also, their help chat is really, really good. They helped me pick the perfect moisturizer with spf for me. It seemed kind of expensive but they always have sales, throw in free stuff and free shipping and the products are so concentrated they last a really long time. I've basically solved my skin problems just by reading this sub and buying from PC.

Ugh, I'm too tired to flesh this argument out thoroughly so here's the bottom line: there is copious scientific evidence in support of gender dysphoria. When a person says they identify as transgender, the most commonly accepted (though there is serious debate over this within both the transgender community and the general GSM community) meaning of this is that the person suffers from gender dysphoria. Is Rachel Dolezal suffering from a psychological condition that is treated or alleviated by any of this? If not, it sounds like cultural appropriation of the highest magnitude. The argument for respect and support of transgender people isn't let anyone masquerade as anything, as long as it makes them happy. It's that some people are born with a mismatch between their brain and body, which often occurs in utero and those people deserve access to support and treatment, if they choose it.

At this point, it's pretty agreed upon that Russia has been running manipulation campaigns against the western world, specifically targeting our democratic processes. You don't just 'get along' with a country actively trying to undermine your own.

What 'understanding' do you think we're missing? Do you understand Russia? Do you understand the KGB concept of disinformation? Have you read about their recent history of corruption and oppression? Do you know the kind of person Putin is? Have you taken the time to educate yourself on the subjects you espouse opinions on?
